The midweek action in the Premier League continues on Wednesday night when six matches take place in the top flight as the chase behind leaders Arsenal and the battle to avoid the drop are back in the spotlight once again.
As was the case on Tuesday evening, all six of the matches will be live on Amazon Prime but they all clash so you will need plenty of devices if you want to watch all of them. There is a live goals show which allows you to see all the goals as they happen.
Wednesday’s fixtures are as follows: (7.30pm unless stated)
Brighton & Hove Albion v Brentford
Crystal Palace v AFC Bournemouth
Fulham v Nottingham Forest
Sheffield United v Liverpool
Aston Villa v Manchester City (8.15pm)

The two main games on Wednesday evening have been saved for the slightly later kick offs with the champions Manchester City looking to get over that late heartache against Tottenham at the weekend when they make the trip to fortress Villa Park where Aston Villa will be looking to maintain their wonderful record and overtake City in the process. The other match of significance on Wednesday night, historically at least, comes from Old Trafford where Manchester United play host to Chelsea in a clash between two sides who still have a lot to prove.
Earlier in the night second in the table meet the team who were sent back to the bottom of the pile over the weekend as Sheffield United begin another stint under Chris Wilder when they welcome Liverpool to Bramall Lane. Fulham and Nottingham Forest will be eager to pick up points to avoid being sucked into the relegation picture and the same applies to Crystal Palace and AFC Bournemouth who meet at Selhurst Park. The other match comes from the Amex Stadium where Brentford are the visitors for Brighton and Hove Albion.
Betting
The Premier League has been littered with goals this season and we have already seen one goal-fest this week and I am expecting a couple more on Wednesday evening. I’m very surprised that two free scoring sides in Aston Villa and Manchester City have a goal line of 3. These two play to of the highest lines in the Premier League and that has to spell danger to the defences on show here. City will be without the shield of their defence in Rodri and their record without him is indifferent at best. Villa have started the season so well that they basically get a free crack at the champions. I would be surprised if we don’t get at least a push on the 3 goal line.
The other match where I expect to see goals is at Old Trafford where Chelsea are scoring goals at one end but they are conceding almost as many at the other and that should be of interest to a Manchester United who will be looking to win the game after a disappointing showing at Newcastle on Saturday night. United matches haven’t been the best watch in recent times but they showed in Turkey last week that they still possess quality when they need to win matches. Chelsea look like they are finding a groove in attack but they are getting weaker if anything in defence and I see no reason why this one won’t be full of goals too.
