The Premier League weekend concludes once again with the Monday Night Football which takes us to Molineux when Wolverhampton Wanderers look to pull clear of the relegation zone when they host Nottingham Forest.
Forest have no relegation concerns and given that they play last in the weekend they have the chance to move level on points with second placed Arsenal with a win here. Add in Nuno going back to his old club and this has a big match feel about it.
Where to watch
The match will be shown live and in full on the Monday Night Football programme which will be on the Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League channels. The show begins at 6.30pm ahead of the 8pm kick off.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Wolverhampton Wanderers looked like they were going to be deep in relegation mire but the inevitable sacking of Gary O’Neil has brought an immediate upturn in their form and two wins and a draw later and suddenly they are looking at climbing the table rather than exiting the division. They are not out of the woods yet but they are out of the bottom three and they’ll put three points between them and the relegation zone if they do come out on top.
The immediately obvious thing to have happened since Vitor Pereira has shown up as the head coach is they don’t look nearly as easy to expose defensively and as a result of that they have kept successive clean sheets in the two matches that they have won. There were signs against Tottenham last week that the defence is a work in progress but seven goals in three matches since the Portuguese boss arrived shows that he is getting a tune out of the team at the other end of the pitch.
Nottingham Forest
I don’t think even the biggest Nottingham Forest fan could have anticipated the season that they are enjoying before a ball was kicked. It might be that we are not quite there yet but we are heading towards the stage where Forest fans might feel disappointed if their side don’t finish in a European spot in the league come the end of the campaign, and when you consider they would have been fairly high up in the betting for relegation this term, that would be a sensational achievement.
The backdrop to this Forest success has been their wonderful defensive record. They rarely come out of their shape and as a result of that they have only conceded 19 goals this season. Only Arsenal have conceded fewer than that. They are not always the most free scoring side, particularly on their travels, but they have a front four which has creativity, pace and a clinical edge to it so they set up in their counterattacking style perfectly.

Team News
Wolverhampton Wanderers will be without their player of the season so far with Matheus Cunha suspended for this one. Vitor Pereira will check on the fitness of Mario Lemina and Andre ahead of naming his side for this match.
Nottingham Forest are expecting their defender Murillo to be available after he pulled out of the warm-up ahead of the win at Goodison Park last time out. Callum Hudson-Odoi also missed that match but he is available here.
Betting
A few weeks ago I would have been looking at this as a comfortable Nottingham Forest win because the Wolverhampton Wanderers defence was all over the place but Vitor Pereira has come in and had a big impact. I still fancy Forest to win this but I expect it to be tighter and low scoring which would bring the draw into play, especially if Wolves have to set up a little less cavalier without their talisman Matheus Cunha, which is perfectly possible.
I’ll go for a value bet with all that in mind though. That comes in the form of the 9/2 for Nikola Milenkovic to have a shot on target. He has had a shot in 10 of his last 11 league games and while only four of his 15 shots this season have hit the target that is still better than one in four and yet we are getting more than 4/1 that he connects with one on target here. Wolves have a defence which lacks in physicality and the Serbian has plenty of that so on set plays he could be a huge threat. In a match where not a lot stands out I’ll take the defender to hit the target at 9/2.
