The Premier League resumes on Saturday with another fascinating day in store at both ends of the table. There are seven matches across the three kick off times and with the leaders Chelsea not playing until Sunday the chasers will be looking to close in on them with a win.
Early Kick Off
Play begins at Anfield as one of those sides – Liverpool – look to do just that when they host lowly Swansea. Most people will be looking at this match as a banker home win and it will be interesting to see if that is how it plays out.
3pm Matches
Bournemouth play host to Watford in a match which could see them move up to ninth should they win it. Crystal Palace are in desperate need of a win when they face Everton at Selhurst Park while Middlesbrough and West Ham will be looking to pull further away from danger when they meet at the Riverside.
Man Utd will be looking to get back in the title picture when they head to the Britannia to take on Stoke while West Brom host Sunderland in the other match.
Late Game
The match of the day comes from the Etihad Stadium as the title challengers Man City and Tottenham meet in the late kick off. City’s title ambitions are hanging by a thread and defeat here may well end them completely. Spurs will move to within four points of Chelsea with a win, for 20 or so hours at least.
Betting
I don’t think this is the easiest card to bet on and as such I’m just taking one bet which comes in the last match of the day. I can’t be having this Man City side at all but even more so when they take on a rampant side with the danger that Tottenham carry.
City showed last week just how poor they can be at the back and with a goalkeeper who is coming under more and more pressure I don’t expect their defensive struggles to suddenly stop. Spurs head to the Etihad off the back of six wins in a row and they’ve only conceded three goals in that time. The 1.80 on them with the 0.5 Asian line looks far too big to leave alone.
