Premier League – Saturday 29th October Matches Betting Preview

Another Premier League weekend begins on Saturday with seven matches in the top flight on a day where the top three are all in action. As ever in this division things at the top and the bottom will begin to play out on Saturday so there is a lot more entertainment and drama to follow.

Early Kick Off

The action begins at the Stadium of Light where rock bottom Sunderland host high flying Arsenal in one of those matches which has the look of a routine away win about it but we all know it rarely works like that in this league and seemingly especially in this early game. Arsenal do look justified 4/9 favourites though.

3pm Matches

We have five matches at 3pm on Saturday with Old Trafford playing host to Man Utd and Burnley while Middlesbrough host Bournemouth at the Riverside. Last season’s title challengers meet at the King Power when Leicester face Tottenham with the other two matches seeing Watford hosting Hull and West Brom challenging the leaders Man City.

Late Game

Liverpool head to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace in the final match of the day. The night they lost their grip on the league title a couple of seasons ago will still be fresh in Liverpool’s mind and they don’t have the best record on this ground so it will be interesting to see if the Reds can put that to one side and get the win which could potentially take them top of the table.

Betting

A couple of bets tempted me in this card but in the end I’ve decided to play just the one. Bournemouth were tempting but the price on the +0.25 is a little on the skinny side and the level ball line doesn’t look as attractive while Tottenham should see off Leicester but with both having Champions League matches in the week that just feels like a match to leave alone.

Burnley’s away form is in stark contrast to their home form and I think that can equate to goals at Old Trafford. Man Utd are under pressure to pick up a convincing win and this match might just come at the right time for them.

Burnley have shipped three goals in each of their away games this season and so I’m expecting United’s expensive attacking core to break them down comfortably here but the prospect of a Burnley goal can’t be ruled out either with United’s defensive issues. That should all add up to more than 2.5 goals.
