The Sky Bet Championship looks to catch up with the postponed matches from earlier in the season on Tuesday evening when three more games take place with six sides looking for three points that will move them up the table.
Although these games are rearranged, one of them will be on the main channel for us to enjoy on TV while another will be on the red button. It is up to social media and the TV coverage to deliver updates on the other match.
Cardiff City vs Coventry City (19.45 – Sky Main Event & Sky Football)
The televised match on the main channel on the evening comes from the Cardiff City Stadium where Cardiff City host Coventry City in a match between two sides who haven’t been in the worst of form in recent times and will be looking to keep that going here.
Cardiff lost at Millwall at the weekend but prior to that they had strung three wins together which has pulled them away from immediate relegation danger but they are not safe yet so they need to keep on winning. Coventry continue to hover around the play-off shake up but if they are going to push in the top six they need to win their games in hand so this is a key match for them too. I suspect with home advantage that Cardiff will win this one but I’m not convinced enough about it to merit betting on the match.

Millwall vs QPR (19.45)
The one match that isn’t being screened anywhere is a London derby where Millwall will look to follow up their win over Cardiff at the weekend when they take on QPR who will be aiming to fight back from their defeat away to Barnsley on Saturday.
That was a poor defeat for QPR but results around them went for them so they still sit in fourth place and a win here would move them up to third in the table ahead of the final third of the season. Millwall have struggled for consistency throughout the campaign as evidenced by their 10-10-10 W-D-L record on the season so far but there were signs on Saturday that they might be coming to the party. They don’t score nearly enough goals for my liking though but I was burned backing QPR on Saturday and I’m once bitten twice shy where they are concerned so this is another match I’ll leave alone.
Sheffield United vs Hull City (19.45 – Sky Red Button)
The other match on the card is a Yorkshire clash of sorts as Sheffield United look to continue their surge towards the top six when they host a Hull City side who are looking for a first point under new manager Shota Arveladze.
You have to say the decision to dispense with Grant McCann looked a weird one at the time with Hull having just three successive wins, including against two of the top three in Bournemouth and Blackburn, and having seen their three displays since then it looks even more mysterious. I’m a big believer in foreign coaches coaching in England for the first time in this division do not work and Arveladze seems to be maintaining that trend. Sheffield United have already dispensed with their overseas manager and look to be much the better for it too. They have won eight of their last 11 matches and kept seven clean sheets in that time which is significant here because only Peterborough United and Barnsley have scored fewer than Hull this term. The Blades have won their last three at home without conceding and have the quality and depth in their squad to rotate without weakening too much which is important at this time of the season. I’m fully expecting a comfortable Blades win here.
