Preview
The TV cameras head to Portman Road on Wednesday evening as second placed Ipswich Town look to keep pace with Leicester City at the top of the table. The Tractor Boys host a Millwall side who just haven’t been able to get going this season. We also have a bottom vs top clash on Wednesday too when Sheffield Wednesday host the leaders Leicester City. Leeds United were the other team in the top three starting out in the round and they welcome Swansea City to Elland Road.
Southampton are the other team in the top four and looking to hunt down the top two and they are also at home. Bristol City will be the side heading to Hampshire. Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers are both in the top half at the start of play and they also have home games with teams in the bottom half being their opponents. Blackburn welcome Wayne Rooney and his Birmingham City side to Ewood Park while Huddersfield Town are the visitors to the Stadium of Light.
Betting
Supporters attending Portman Road this season certainly haven’t been short changed and I don’t see why that would change on Wednesday evening when Ipswich Town host Millwall. Matches when Ipswich are at home this season are averaging five goals per game with the Tractor Boys perfectly happy to take the game to their opposition even if it can leave them exposed going the other way and we’ve seen goals in both nets regularly as a result.
Leeds, Cardiff, Blackburn, Preston, Plymouth and Swansea have all scored twice at Portman Road this season and four of those have been beaten. Millwall head to Suffolk having scored four in their last away game and twice on two of the three before that on the road. They are anything but watertight at the back though so you’ve got to think we are going to see something of a high scoring game here, one which can see an over 2.75 goal line land.
