The Sky Sports cameras head to Odsal on Saturday for Bradford Bulls’ qualifier match against Halifax RFL with the home side hoping to win the game and maybe get home advantage in next week’s ‘Million Pound Game’.
Bradford know they will be up against Wakefield for the final spot in next season’s Super League next week but they have to win and hope Wakefield lose for them to host the game. If Wakefield win or Bradford don’t win then the big game will be at Wakefield next week.
Bradford booked their place in next week’s game with a fine win at Leigh last week and that will give them something to build from for this match. They have left a couple of players out this week in Dale Ferguson and Adam O’Brien ahead of next week which I guess shows their focus really.
Halifax’s season ends in this match so they can throw the ball around and look to make life difficult for the Bulls safe in the knowledge that they are off on holiday after this one. We saw them beat Leigh a couple of weeks ago so they are capable if they’re allowed to be.
This is a tricky match to bet on. Bradford just want the win to put Wakefield under pressure but you’d think they will struggle to cover a big handicap if they leave big players out. That said Halifax have nothing on the game whatsoever so the best play here is just take a watching brief for next week and not worry about Bradford running riot when they don’t need to.
