The latest round of matches in the Super League conclude on Friday night when the other two games on the schedule take place at Headingley on an evening where we get to see the champions St Helens in action.
In fact we get to see four good looking sides over the course of the evening and with both matches being live on Sky for those of us in the UK there is no reason to miss any of what should be a good night of rugby league.
The Format
There has been a change in the format of the season. The ‘loop matches’ and Magic Weekend have bitten the dust so teams will play 20 regular season matches ahead of the playoffs. Scrums are a thing of the past for the remainder of the season. They are being replaced with a tap restart to prevent the spread of the virus. The ‘six to go’ rule that is being used in NRL is also coming into the Super League with more eyes likely to be on the game with other sports yet to get back up and running.

Huddersfield Giants vs St Helens (18.00)
The first of the two matches on Friday night sees the champions St Helens in action. They have the chance to go back to the top of the table having already seen Wigan Warriors lose this week when they take on Huddersfield Giants in a good looking match.
These two sides are in different form at the minute. St Helens are flying whereas Huddersfield have found life tough since Leeds embarked on that comeback against them in the first game back from lockdown. You’ve got to think Saints will win this match but we’ve already seen one major upset in these midweek matches and in any case I’m certainly not interested in backing teams to cover 20pts when energy reserves are going to be in short supply. I’ll watch and see the outcome rather than bet on it here.
Warrington Wolves vs Hull FC (20.15)
The second match of the night comes with the chance for the Warrington Wolves to go top of the table should St Helens fluff their lines earlier in the day. They take on a Hull FC team who will be buoyed by their win over the Huddersfield Giants at the weekend.
Warrington are going along nicely and go into this match off the back of an emphatic win over Wakefield at the weekend where all departments of their game looked in good order. Hull FC looked a much improved outfit too so we should be in for a cracking contest here between two sides full of attacking quality. We saw a couple of high scoring matches on Thursday and I expect that trend to continue here. I’m happy to take over 46.5pts in this one because as we saw over those two matches defences tire quite quickly given the quick nature of the turnaround between these games.

Back Warrington Wolves vs Hull FC – Over 46.5pts for a 3/10 stake at 1.91 with Coral
