The Super League campaign continues on Friday evening as three more matches take place between sides who will be determined to win, more so with the table being determined by win percentage rather than points this season.
We have one televised match on Friday evening while the other two can be streamed on the Our League service and with the weather set fair we should be in for another good night of Rugby League across these games.
Hull KR vs Leeds (18.00)
The first of the two early kick off comes from Craven Park as Hull KR take on Leeds in a match both teams will be eager to win in order to build something of a platform to build on with neither having Challenge Cup distractions over the remainder of the campaign.
Hull KR picked up their first win of the season last week when they edged out Huddersfield Giants by a point, having previously lost a couple of matches in Golden Point extra time. Leeds Rhinos won their opening match of the season but haven’t won since then as injuries have struck and hampered them badly since then. If this match was last week I’d have been right behind the Robins here but Leeds are starting to get some big players back from injury so I expect their levels to go up so the bookmakers might just about have this one right.

Salford Red Devils vs Leigh Centurions (18.00)
The other match away from the TV cameras sees two sides who are still looking for their first win in the Super League this season battling it out when the Salford Red Devils play host to the Leigh Centurions at the AJ Bell Stadium.
The Red Devils haven’t made the start to the season that they would have wanted but when you look at who they have played – St Helens, Hull FC and Catalans Dragons, they haven’t exactly had it easy this term. Those three sides are all unbeaten this term so this looks an easier assignment for Salford. Leigh haven’t had it much easier in terms of fixtures as they have faced Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves and Castleford in their opening three while Huddersfield wasn’t much easier in the cup. The big issue for the Centurions is since half time in that first match against Wigan, in three and a half matches they have shipped 152 points.
That would make me think Salford are the ones to be with here but I’m a reluctant player of a team to cover a two score handicap when winning is the only thing that matters to them here. I do think there is a bet in this match though which is over 46.5 points. Leigh are leaking points at a crazy rate right now and while Salford are yet to reach double figures in Super League this season, they showed in the cup win over Widnes that there is plenty of attacking mite in their side against the right teams. Although they are conceding plenty of points, Leigh are still contributing to the scoreboard so I expect the over to land here.
Hull FC vs Wakefield Trinity (19.45 – Sky Sports Arena)
The televised encounter on Friday evening comes from the venue which hosted the 2020 Grand Final as Hull FC take on Wakefield Trinity at the KCOM Stadium in a match where the home side will be out to lay down their credentials for going all the way to the big dance this season.
FC were one match away from the party which they ended up hosting last term and will be out to go at least one step better here and will feel obliged to beat a Wakefield team still looking for their first win of any kind this season. Wakefield have been a lot more competitive than their results have suggested but they are another side who are having to deal with a number of injuries which is hurting them. Despite that, they seem to challenge sides for 40-60 minutes before fading away but Hull haven’t really finished a match on top form themselves so I’d be worried about taking them to cover 14pts. At the same time I’m in no rush to have Wakefield on side so I’ll sit the TV match out.
