The Easter period comes to a close in the Super League on Monday when all 12 teams are in action for the second time over the course of the weekend on a day where bruised bodies and tired minds could be taking to the field.
With it being a bank holiday there will be a couple of matches on TV for us to enjoy over the course of the day and I would fully expect the TV coverage to keep us up to date on the other four matches on a busy day of rugby league.

Preview
The first of the two televised matches comes from The Jungle where the Castleford Tigers will look to follow up their Challenge Cup win over a Leeds Rhinos side who just can’t buy a win at the minute. Cas ran riot when these sides met in the cup a few weeks ago and are clearly in better form of the two teams heading into this match. The second TV game comes from the MKM Stadium where Hull FC will look to get over the loss in the derby on Friday when they host a Warrington Wolves team who found out about themselves over the week off and put in a good display to see off Salford Red Devils on Thursday evening.
St Helens showed just why they are the team to beat in a superb derby on Good Friday and they will look to back that up when they go to the Huddersfield Giants in potentially the pick of the matches on the day. Two sides who were well beaten in the ‘Rivals Round’ are Wigan Warriors and Wakefield Trinity and they will meet at the DW Stadium. Catalans Dragons edged out Toulouse on Thursday evening and they will head to Salford Red Devils while Toulouse Olympique will host what are sure to be a buoyant Hull KR side after their win in the Hull derby.
Betting
I’ll go with a couple of bets over the course of Monday and they both come in the TV matches. I think the TV action will begin with a Castleford Tigers win over the Leeds Rhinos. Leeds just can’t buy a win at the minute. Even when they are in a great position like they were against the Huddersfield Giants on Thursday night they bomb a winning opportunity and that doesn’t bode well. I’m sure they’ll find some positives but that would have left a bitter taste in the mouth. Castleford had a surprise stroll against Wakefield Trinity and might just come in here fresher both physically and mentally. Leeds had to play an extra 10 minutes on Thursday night and are in poor form. They also lost another couple of players to injury so I expect Castleford to win this and to cover a converted try.
Warrington Wolves ended a horror run of form when they took care of Salford Red Devils on Thursday evening and I expect them to pick up successive wins when they head to Hull FC on Monday. Warrington have a massive advantage heading into this match in that they played on Thursday night whereas Hull FC were playing Friday lunchtime. The Easter turnaround is very short so those extra 18 hours or so to recover is massive. They also play in a lower key derby to Hull FC as well. The Hull derby was physically tough and losing it won’t have helped them mentally so you have to fear a little for the black and whites here, especially with Brett Hodgson very strong on what his side did wrong. There won’t have been much time on the training pitch to put it right. We all knew Warrington were going to come good at some point and while one win doesn’t make a season it was certainly a positive and the fact they add George Williams to their ranks for this game gives me the belief they can follow up their Thursday win with another. Sometimes you have to bet on the clear advantages a team has and Warrington have enough of those to take at 11/10.
