The first Saturday of the Premier League season is upon us and there is plenty to live up to after the craziness of Friday evening. In all we have seven matches to enjoy, explore and bet on across the now usual three kick off times as 14 sides look to get underway with a win.
Early Kick Off
Liverpool begin their season in the first match of the day when they make the trip to Vicarage Road to take on a Watford side who look like they should improve under Marco Silva. All eyes will be on Liverpool to see how they cope without Philippe Coutinho, something they might need to get used to going forward.
3pm Matches
This is when we get to see the champions Chelsea for the first time. They begin their title defence with a home match against Burnley while promoted Huddersfield play their first ever Premier League match away to Crystal Palace. Everton play host to Stoke while Southampton welcome Swansea to St Mary’s and West Brom host Bournemouth.
Late Game
Relegation favourites Brighton host the title favourites Manchester City in the late game which will be the first match in the Premier League for the home side so this is sure to be some occasion at the Amex Stadium and City will need to be on guard to cope.

Betting
There is a case for taking both promoted sides on but we often see them raise their game for the big occasion so I will avoid doing that and in the end play a little safe with just the one bet.
That comes on an Everton side who I believe will have an advantage here in that they have played a couple of competitive matches already this season. They take on Stoke who are perennial strugglers out of the starting gate so the home side look good things to me. I like the business Ronald Koeman has done this summer and those new signings can fire Everton to an opening day win.
