Another Premier League weekend kicks off with the Friday Night Football which this week comes from the London Stadium as West Ham United host Brighton to get proceedings underway.
Both sides go into the match in the bottom half of the table. The winners will not only pull themselves away from immediate danger but they will move into the top half ahead of the rest of the fixtures this weekend.
West Ham United
West Ham go into the match unbeaten in their previous two matches. They went to Burnley and drew with 10 men last weekend after Andy Carroll had been sent off but the interesting thing to note from that match was that they went in with a very attacking set up in terms of personnel. It will be interesting to see if they stick with that.
Overall the Hammers are improving nicely. They had a poor start to the season when they couldn’t defend if their life depended on it but they have improved at the back as the campaign has gone on and the likes of Arnautovic, Hernandez and Antonio have given their attacking unit a much stronger potency which has also helped.
Brighton
The Premier League newcomers took their time to get going this season but the longer it has gone on the more accustomed they appear to have become to the league. They head into this match off the back of what became an agonising draw at home to Everton last weekend when they conceded late on having forced their way into the lead.
This should be a game that they looked at when the fixtures came out and thought that they could win and if that is the case then we can expect to see them open up a little and play on the front foot. If they can keep things tight at the back they have the players in the form of Glenn Murray and Pascal Gross to cause West Ham problems.
Team News
West Ham will be without the suspended Andy Carroll for this match. He is likely to be replaced by Diafra Sakho although Andre Ayew is another option. Mark Noble was benched last week and all eyes will be on Bilic to see if he is recalled.
Brighton forward Tomer Hemed completes his three game suspension in this match so Glenn Murray is expected to deputise for him once again. The Seagulls could be unchanged.

Betting
If I was forced to back either side I would take West Ham to win the game but I believe they might just be a touch on the short side without Andy Carroll. I’m not convinced I want to back Brighton to win either so I’ll go to the side market for a bet on the match.
That is the both teams to score market. I really do think this might be an open match purely because it is one both should be looking at and thinking they can win. If that is the case then the onus will be on the two attacking units to get stuck in and find the back of the net. After struggling for goals at the beginning of the season Brighton have now scored in four of their last five. West Ham are improving offensively too so odds against on both to score looks acceptable.
