After a number of sides were involved in the FA Cup last weekend we have just our second full fixture list in Sky Bet League 2 on Saturday afternoon and there are some decent matches to explore over the set of matches.
We are well into the second half of the season now but there is still plenty to play for so three points remains valuable for a number of teams on Saturday.
Saturday’s fixtures are as follows:
Cambridge United v Mansfield Town
Carlisle United v Crewe Alexandra
Cheltenham Town v Accrington Stanley
Chesterfield v Luton Town
Crawley Town v Barnet
Exeter City v Coventry City
Grimsby Town v Newport County
Lincoln City v Notts County
Morecambe v Stevenage
Port Vale v Yeovil Town
Swindon Town v Forest Green Rovers
Wycombe Wanderers v Colchester United
Big Matches
The big match comes from Sincil Bank where Lincoln in fifth place host Notts County in second. Leaders Luton will look to put a couple of cup defeats behind them when they head to lowly Chesterfield while two sides deep in the play-off mix meet at Adams Park when Wycombe host Chesterfield. Exeter and Coventry will hope to be in promotion contention for the rest of the year and they meet in Devon.
Best of the Rest
The pressure is mounting on Grimsby Town boss Russell Slade so he will be hoping his side can see off Newport County while there is a local derby of sorts at the County Ground when Swindon host Forest Green. Bottom placed Barnet head to Crawley Town while improving Accrington go to Cheltenham looking to push into the top three.

Betting
I like two bets on Saturday. Barnet are ravaged by injury at the minute and that is not going to help them when they go to Crawley Town. Crawley have won three of their last four at home amid signs that they are getting to grips with things under Harry Kewell. Barnet have struggled all season long and with some senior players missing for the visitors Crawley have a great chance to entertain their fans and send them home with a win.
Port Vale walloped Luton in their last home game of 2017 and Yeovil might well go the same way too. Yeovil have had a couple of emotional highs in the last few days with wins over Bradford and Forest Green in the cups but there is only so many times you can go to the well. I’ve mentioned about their struggles on the road in the past too. Port Vale have Ben Whitfield back in place after his loan was extended and with their home form generally decent enough I’m with them here.
Tips
WON – Back Crawley (0AH) to beat Barnet for a 4/10 stake at 1.80 with BetVictor
