Things are beginning to get interesting at both ends of the Sky Bet League 2 table and with another full set of matches to come on Saturday the competition is likely to intensify as we move towards the final two months of the campaign.
With no cups or anything like that impacting things this week we have a full fixture list to go at which should make for some decent betting opportunities across the 12 matches due to take place.
Saturday’s fixtures are as follows:
Accrington Stanley v Cambridge United
Chesterfield v Swindon Town
Colchester United v Barnet
Forest Green Rovers v Crawley Town
Grimsby Town v Exeter City
Lincoln City v Crewe Alexandra
Luton Town v Cheltenham Town
Mansfield Town v Coventry City
Notts County v Stevenage
Port Vale v Newport County
Wycombe Wanderers v Morecambe
Yeovil Town v Carlisle United
Big Matches
The leaders Luton return after an 11 day break when they host Cheltenham Town at Kenilworth Road. In fact the top five are all at home on Saturday with second placed Wycombe Wanderers hosting Morecambe while Accrington Stanley welcome Cambridge to the Wham Stadium. Mansfield Town host Coventry while Notts County will take on Stevenage at Meadow Lane.
Best of the Rest
Chesterfield will be looking for points to pull themselves closer to escaping the dreaded drop but they won’t have it easy against Swindon while Barnet who are bottom of the table face a tricky trip to Colchester United. Fellow strugglers Forest Green host form horses Crawley Town and troubled Crewe make the trip over to Lincoln.

Betting
I’ll go with two bets over the course of Saturday afternoon. Luton should be nicely refreshed having not played last weekend and I expect Cheltenham to face the full force of that. A lot has been made of Cheltenham being one side that have given Nathan Jones problems as Luton boss but the same things were said about Stevenage earlier in the season and they left with a 7-1 beating. This probably won’t be that emphatic but with Luton having managed to get Danny Hylton fit over their extended break they should be bang on it here. Cheltenham generally lose when they face the better sides and I expect them to lose here.
Swindon Town will know they need to win when they go to Chesterfield on Saturday and I expect them to do that. Chesterfield are in rotten form having lost their last four matches while no team has won more on the road than Swindon. The signing of Marc Richards is looking a masterstroke and having got rid of some dead wood this week David Flitcroft is beginning to tighten the ship. Chesterfield can’t get anything going and injuries continue to hurt them. I expect Swindon to take advantage of that.
