There is one match in Sky Bet League Two on Tuesday night and having left it as late as possible for the weather to intervene before writing this preview it appears to be all systems go in terms of the game going ahead.
It is a big match as well with Wycombe Wanderers hosting Coventry City and both sides needing the points to continue their push for promotion this season, something both are in position to achieve with various routes.
Wycombe Wanderers
The Chairboys currently sit third in the 10 match form table in League 2 which highlights how well they have played since the turn of the year but they go into this match off the back of a home defeat to Morecambe which will have disappointed Gareth Ainsworth. To be fair though from 4-0 down in that match his side did well to make the scoreline respectable.
Wycombe go into the contest in third place in the table and with this match being the game in hand they have on the side immediately below them it is a vital game for the home side. A win here would put four points between them and the chasing pack for automatic promotion with matches beginning to run out.
Coventry City
After getting themselves into a really good position a month or so ago four matches without a win in the league has sent Coventry flying down the table and they now find themselves needing to win their two matches in hand to draw level with Swindon Town in the final play-off position. This is the first of those games so it stands to reason that this is a big game for them.
After building the foundation of their success on a solid defensive record for the first half of the campaign the Sky Blues have now gone seven matches without a clean sheet which is not ideal and if they are to push for promotion then they will need to get that solidity at the back going again as they are one of the lower scorers in the division.
Team News
After a bit of a shambles defensively on Saturday, Gareth Ainsworth is likely to make changes to his defence in this match with Dan Scarr waiting in the wings to come into the side. Sam Saunders and Michael Harriman are among those on the sidelines.
Coventry will go into the match without defender Jordan Willis after he was sent off against Mansfield on Saturday. He begins his suspension here. There are no other concerns for Mark Robins going into the match.

Betting
The cold conditions make betting on this game a little more of a lottery than usual but I expect to see some goals in this match. Coventry haven’t kept a clean sheet in seven league matches and that doesn’t surprise me because I was at their game at Brighton recently and they were all over the place at the back.
On the flip side of that Wycombe are anything but watertight too. Both sides need to win this match so when the first goal goes in whoever concedes it may need to take a risk or two to get back into it which could see them level the score and push for a winner or concede another and double the task. The way the table currently is and the need for victory I’m expecting over 2.25 goals to land.
