2017 International Darts Open – Last 32 Betting Preview

The last 32 of the International Darts Open takes place across the usual two sessions of play on Saturday and even though Michael van Gerwen is missing from the tournament there looks to be some decent matches for us to enjoy throughout the day.

Afternoon Session

Gerwyn Price has the honour of getting proceedings underway on Saturday afternoon. He takes on Steve Lennon before a tasty clash between Ian White and Keegan Brown. Jelle Klaasen then does battle with Brendan Dolan before the final match prior to the interview sees Mervyn King playing John Michael.

After the break the solid names keep on coming. Kim Huybrechts faces Christian Kist in a juicy battle before his brother Ronny goes up against Cristo Reyes. The final two matches of the afternoon sees Benito van de Pas facing Peter Jacques and Joe Cullen taking on Richie Corner.

Evening Session

The evening is stacked with quality and it begins with one of the matches of the round as Dave Chisnall faces Darren Webster. Daryl Gurney then takes on Dennis Nilsson before Michael Smith plays Ron Meulenkamp. Number one seed Peter Wright leads us into the interval when he faces Chris Quantock.

After the break there is a battle of the young brigade when Rob Cross faces Josh Payne before Mensur Suljovic goes up against William O’Connor. The home favourite Max Hopp is on in the second to last match of the day and then the final battle of the night is the all-Australian clash between Simon Whitlock and Kyle Anderson.

Betting

I’ll go with two bets which both come in the evening session. Darren Webster is a nuggety little player who I like having my money on because you know you are going to get everything from him. I often wonder what we’ll get from Chisnall in these sorts of tournaments especially after he played in front of a big crowd last week and will be playing in front of another next week. Webster will be up for this and looks a huge price to cause an upset.

Kyle Anderson is in fantastic form right now and has three wins over Simon Whitlock in his career. I see him getting another one on Saturday too. Anderson is playing some brilliant darts at the minute and the confidence he has from that can lead him past his World Cup colleague. Anderson is banging in 100 averages for fun and if he can produce that here he can come through.
