The final match of an entertaining Sunday in the NFL is the traditional Sunday Night Football which this week comes from Colorado as the Denver Broncos host the New York Giants in a clash which looks a bit of a mismatch.
It is fair to say these two sides have started the campaign in opposition directions. The Broncos will go into the contest with a 3-1 record for the season while the Giants are 0-5 and already overwhelming contenders for the number one draft pick.
Denver Broncos
It would be pushing it to suggest that the Broncos have been lighting up the season so far but they haven’t done too much wrong. They have largely ridden their defence, and there is nothing wrong with that, but just quietly their offense has been doing just about enough to keep them ticking along nicely and they look a competent unit.
Although Trevor Siemian still doesn’t shine like previous Denver quarterbacks have done he has been the solid game manager which has been needed and whenever a side is 3-1 there is not too much wrong. The Broncos have had the extra week to draw up more play designs to potentially make their offense more dynamic.
New York Giants
If it could go wrong for the Giants this season it has done. In fact that has been the case for the past week where they have lost three wide receivers and now face one of the toughest journeys in the NFL. Looking at it objectively then if Eli Manning can get out of Mile High with a win it would be one of the biggest surprises of the season.
There is no denying that New York are up against it here. Odell Beckham Jr, Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shepard are basically their entire offense so they are down to second, third and maybe even fourth string passing games which is never ideal. If the Giants are to stay respectable here let alone try and win their defence must force regular turnovers.

Betting
I don’t see a way that the Giants can win this match but Denver Broncos are plenty short enough to win and rightly so. The point spread is 13 which I think they will cover but that is the sort of number where an easing off late on opens the door to a back door cover so I’ll hit a side market for a bet.
New York Giants only put up three points in Dallas and 10 points against Detroit without Odell Beckham Jr and I’m not expecting them to get many more points here. There appears to be little sign of a run game within the Giants organisation and with the passing game likely to struggle it is hard to see how Big Blue pick up more than 13.5pts here.
