The Sunday Night Football in the NFL this week concentrates on the NFC East as the Dallas Cowboys welcome the Philadelphia Eagles to Jerry’s home in what is a massive clash in the division.
Philadelphia currently lead the NFC not just the division but Dallas can pull to within a couple of matches if they can find a win in this match so there is everything to play for in what should be a tasty finale to Sunday’s action.

Dallas Cowboys
Dallas saw a run of three wins on the bounce come to an end last week when they were well beaten by the Atlanta Falcons so they will be looking to respond to that with a victory here. That loss coincided with the beginning of the suspension to Ezekiel Elliott which has naturally made people wonder if the Cowboys can function without him.
In fact the injury to Tyron Smith was much more significant in that match and with him being out here you have to be concerned for the Dallas chances. If they are to have any chance here they will need to protect Prescott and they will need to get the Eagles offense off the field at every chance they get.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are absolutely flying this season if you pardon the pun. The only defeat they have suffered came in their second match of the season to the Kansas City Chiefs and they have won seven on the bounce since then. They have just had their bye week which gave them the chance to assess their form and get any knocks cleared up.
The Eagles have the best run defence in the entire league this season which I guess is natural given they have been dominating matches on the scoreboard but even so it could nullify one of Dallas’ significant threats. Carson Wentz gets another chance to showcase his talents on primetime which should be right up his street.

Betting
I was slightly in two minds about this match but the news that Tyron Smith is out makes me happy to side with the Philadelphia Eagles in this one. We saw how Dallas struggled in his absence last week and I expect similar to happen here.
Philadelphia are absolutely buzzing at the minute and having had two weeks to prepare for this match they should be bang on it once again. I think the visitors will win this and win it by enough to cover a 5.5pt handicap.
