It is the final day of action in the North Group in the Royal London One Day Cup on Tuesday with the final four matches all being played under lights to conclude the group. At the end of the day we will know the first side into the semi-finals and which two sides will compete in the quarter finals from the North.
Among the four matches we have one on the TV with plenty of ways of keeping up to date with the other three. We’ll preview all four matches in full beginning with the TV match.

Derbyshire vs Worcestershire
Worcestershire head into this match knowing if they win they will be the first semi-finalists in the tournament. A defeat would open the door for Yorkshire to pip them on the line. Derbyshire are out of the competition but will be looking to do themselves justice in front of the cameras.
Unfortunately for Worcestershire the forecast in Derby isn’t the best in the afternoon and it might be that the best they can do is a shortened match. With that in mind I’m not going to get too involved in this match but I can’t resist a punt on Ross Whiteley to be the top Worcestershire batsman.
Whiteley used to play for Derbyshire and so he’ll know dimensions of this ground and if the match is rain shortened he will come up the order to give it a bit of Reggie Biffington. With the likelihood of him batting higher the 10/1 on him top scoring is too big to ignore.
Durham vs Lancashire
Both Durham and Lancashire go into the final match of the season still with a chance of making the quarter final. They both need to win and hope that Northants can do a job on Nottinghamshire. If that were to happen the winner would go through.
Lancashire have had an up and down campaign but their defeat to Nottinghamshire at the weekend was costly. One of the reasons for that defeat was the absence of Jordan Clark. He has been Lancashire’s best player in this tournament having led their wicket taking and is second in their run scoring.
Durham are in good form and while they came up just short to Worcestershire at the weekend I don’t think there is too much wrong with that. We saw them beat Nottinghamshire on the box last week and a repeat of that performance should be enough here. With Stephen Cook back I expect that to be delivered so I’ll take the home side here.
Northamptonshire vs Nottinghamshire
Nottinghamshire go into their final match knowing that if they win they will be through to the quarter finals but if they lose there is every chance they will miss out. Northamptonshire can no longer go through so Notts have picked their opponents well.
All of that is taken into account with the bookmakers though who have Nottinghamshire plenty short enough in this match. Northants are the kind of side who if they fancy it can beat anyone and while this hasn’t been their campaign they are dangerous enough to finish with a win. That said I’m not tempted in on them either.
Yorkshire vs Leicestershire
Yorkshire know they will be progressing in this competition whatever happens here but if they win they could yet top the group and bypass the quarter finals. If Worcestershire fail to win and Yorkshire are successful they will be in the semi-finals.
Leicestershire are as good as out of the competition despite not playing too badly throughout the tournament although there is a slim mathematical chance of them progressing if they win and two other results go their way. I don’t see Leicestershire winning against this Yorkshire side though but Yorkshire are plenty short enough for me to ignore this match too.
