All 18 counties are in action in the County Championship over Easter with another set of matches beginning on Good Friday and going through to Easter Monday. That means we have four games in the top flight and five more in the second division to have a go at.
Division One
Surrey will look to continue their fine start to the season when they host Lancashire at The Oval while the champions Middlesex begin their title defence away to the other side who won last week in Hampshire. Somerset and Essex do battle down in Taunton while the former champions Warwickshire and Yorkshire meet at Edgbaston.
Division Two
Derbyshire begin their season when they entertain Northamptonshire while the two relegated sides do battle at the Riverside when Durham host Nottinghamshire with the home side looking to eat into their 48pt deduction. Glamorgan play host to Worcestershire while Gloucestershire take on Leicestershire at Bristol. There is another heavyweight clash at Hove where Sussex take on Kent.

Betting
There doesn’t look a whole lot of value around in Division One this week. If I was betting in the division I might take the chance on Hampshire to see off Middlesex but the prices are about right there. There are a couple I like in the second division though.
Leicestershire put up a spirited effort against Nottinghamshire last week while ultimately was in vein but I think they will fancy their chances against Gloucestershire and I fancy their chances too. Leicestershire were well in control against Notts until Stuart Broad and James Pattinson put on an amazing partnership and then Pattinson got stuck in with the ball but the Foxes will face nothing like that here.
If Chris Dent doesn’t fire there is a very flimsy look to this Gloucestershire batting line up and that is certainly not good. Leicestershire are strong with the ball and will keep the pressure on their hosts who have to recover from being shot out for 61 last week. Leicestershire look a more complete side to me and are a decent price in that one.
Kent look a good bet at odds against away to Sussex. They have played a match already, one which they dominated from the outset while Sussex are missing a couple of batsmen which isn’t ideal at this stage of the season. Since their win over Gloucestershire, Kent have signed Wayne Parnell to bolster an already strong attack. We know their batting is top class so they look to have every box covered and can see off Sussex this week.
