After a day off for the snooker tour players another qualifying campaign gets underway on Sunday when the early stages of the World Open get underway inside the Guild Hall in Preston. Unlike the events last week this tournament is the best of nine frames which should allow for greater betting opportunities over the four days with fewer matches to dissect each day.
There are three sessions of action on Sunday with star names such as Mark Allen, Mark Williams and Shaun Murphy among those on the green baize.
Morning Session
Stephen Maguire is one of the players on the streamed tables in this first session. He faces the Australian player Matthew Bolton while Mark Davis meets Elliot Slessor on the other one. The three matches away from the spotlight sees Lee Walker playing Paul Davison, Jamie Jones meeting Josh Boileau and Mark Allen taking on Wang Yuchen.
Afternoon Session
Marco Fu and Mark Williams grace the streamed tables for this session. Fu plays Sean O’Sullivan while Williams faces Christopher Keogan. Robbie Williams meets Ken Doherty on the outside tables while David Grace plays Cao Yupeng and Fergal O’Brien faces Michael Georgiou.
Evening Session
We have the chance to watch Shaun Murphy in this session. He plays Alex Borg while Anthony McGill goes up against Zhao Xintong in the other match on the streamed table. Robert Milkins takes on Jak Jones, Kurt Maflin plays Duane Jones and Alfie Burden faces up to Craig Steadman in the other matches in the session.

Betting
After getting my head back close to the surface with three winners from three on Friday I am looking to consolidate with just the one bet on Sunday and it comes in the afternoon session where I fancy Cao Yupeng to beat David Grace.
Yupeng is enjoying a nice little run at the minute and having qualified for the Indian Open and the European Masters last week he will be eyeing up a hat trick of successes. Grace failed to qualify for either of those tournaments so he will be under a fair bit of pressure here.
There is no such issues for the Chinese player who is beginning to show the form he had when he broke onto the scene a few years ago and that form can see him to another win here.
Tips
WON – Back C.Yupeng to beat D.Grace for a 4/10 stake at 2.38 with Ladbrokes
