The last round of Premier League matches prior to the international break begins on Saturday afternoon when seven fixtures take place up and down the country with each side looking for three points to take into the enforced quiet period with them.
We have to wait until later in the weekend to see the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal in action but the two sides most fancied to win the title feature on Saturday and are in front of the cameras.
Early Kick Off
We get things started at the King Power Stadium where Leicester City will look to showcase their talents and knock off a big side when Liverpool are the visitors. The hype and expectation around Jurgen Klopp’s men is beginning to increase and this will be a decent test of their credentials and potentially the biggest threat to their unbeaten start to the campaign. Leicester have already run Man Utd close this season and will want to do the same here too.
3pm Matches
We have five matches taking place in the usual 3pm slot this week with one of the biggest coming from the London Stadium as West Ham United host Wolverhampton Wanderers with both teams looking for their first win of the campaign. Fulham make the trip to Brighton in another good looking fixture while Everton host struggling Huddersfield Town.
The other two matches see Crystal Palace welcoming Mark Hughes and his winless Southampton side to Selhurst Park while in the other match the former champions Chelsea look to continue their perfect beginning to the season when Bournemouth are the visitors to Stamford Bridge.
Late Game
The day ends at the home of the champions as Manchester City play host to Newcastle United. There has been a lot of criticism of the tactics employed by Rafael Benitez and his charges last week against Chelsea and it will be interesting to see if they adopt the same game plan here. City dropped two points last week and will be eager to make up for that heading into the international break.

Betting
I like the idea of goals in a couple of matches on Saturday afternoon and the first of those comes in the opening match where I’m surprised we can get a 2.75 goal line in the match between Leicester City and Liverpool. I know that Liverpool are yet to concede this term but this will be their biggest test of the season defensively. Leicester on the other hand have only kept once clean sheet thus far and Wolves rattled their woodwork countless times in that so I think there is the potential for both sides to contribute to the scoring and see the goals pass 2.75.
Later in the day I’m even more surprised that there is a West Ham match which has a 2.5 goal line. They are taking on a Wolves side who are generally quite tight but not to the extent that they haven’t conceded in all three of their matches this term. Based on what we’ve seen in their matches so far West Ham are going to have to go on the offensive because they have been an abomination defensively. Wolves look set up to be a wonderful side on the counter so this should be another entertaining game with a sack load of goals.
