2018-19 Premier League – Saturday 30th March Matches Betting Preview

The Premier League returns from the international break on Saturday with seven matches as the conclusion to the season begins in earnest. There is still much to be decided over the course of the final two months of the campaign so Saturday could be a pivotal day.

As usual on a Saturday we have three kick off times to enjoy with sides such as the champions Manchester City, Manchester United and Wolves all in action on what actually looks a decent day of footy.

Early Kick Off

That day begins at Craven Cottage where Fulham will look to attempt to mastermind the great escape when they play host to the champions Manchester City. It goes without saying that this is must-win for Fulham but in truth their fate is near enough sealed whereas City need the points to get back in front in the Premier League title race. A win here will take them back to the top for 24hrs at the very least.

3pm Matches

We have five matches kicking off in that traditional 3pm slot with the biggest of them possibly coming from the Amex Stadium where two sides teetering on the edge of danger meet as Brighton and Hove Albion play host to Southampton. Burnley are also involved in a big match when they welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Turf Moor in a match where the home side really need the points.

Crystal Palace look to have the chance for a rare home victory when they take on a Huddersfield Town side whose relegation to the Championship could be confirmed this weekend while Bournemouth are the visitors to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City. The other match sees FA Cup semi-finalists Watford heading to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.

Late Game

The action concludes at the London Stadium where West Ham United host Everton in a match which probably doesn’t have any real meaning to either although the higher up the table both can finish the better they can both feel about the campaign. Everton could probably do with another result to follow on from their win over Chelsea while there is always pressure on West Ham to win at home so that should see that the match remains competitive at the very least.

Betting

There are two bets I like the look of on the Saturday card this weekend. The first of those comes from the King Power Stadium where I’m expecting a few goals between Leicester City and Bournemouth. Leicester are looking much more dynamic under Brendan Rodgers but the former Celtic boss hasn’t yet solved their defensive issues and he is without Harry Maguire here. Bournemouth have David Brooks and Callum Wilson available but on their road their defending has been atrocious. That all points to more than 2.5 goals in this one.

I also like West Ham to beat Everton in the last game. I just can’t trust Everton. I know they beat Chelsea last time out which was a fair enough effort but I’m not sure what they beat there in truth and their defeat to Newcastle from 2-0 up still lives with me. West Ham just need some consistency to be turning into a decent side under Manuel Pellegrini but with the attacking players at his disposal here I fancy the Hammers can turn over the Toffees to round off the day.
