It is a big day in the Premier League title race as both the leading challengers are in action with tricky tests in a Super Sunday that shouldn’t be able to fail to live up to the billing it has been given. We could see a huge shift in the title race over the course of the day.
It isn’t just about the title picture on Sunday though. We could see developments in the top four face as well so this really is an afternoon to kick back and enjoy watching the drama and excitement unfold, hopefully with a winning bet.
Crystal Palace vs Manchester City
Manchester City get the first chance to put the pressure on when they make the trip to Selhurst Park to take on a Crystal Palace side who have already beaten them this season. A win sends the Citizens back to the top of the table while Palace will move up two spots with a win.
City are in the middle of a busy period of big matches at the minute and while I would never go as far as to suggest that you couldn’t trust them, I’m not sure they are a betting proposition at the cramped odds they go off at currently. We’ve seen against both Fulham and Cardiff in recent weeks that when they’ve been ahead they haven’t exactly pushed things on. Palace might force them to play here but nothing feels right betting wise in this one.

Liverpool vs Chelsea
Once City have completed their work for the afternoon Liverpool will look to retain top spot when they play host to a Chelsea team who need to win themselves if they are to remain in pole position for a place in the top four.
Liverpool have been riding their luck a little bit recently and are nothing like as tight at the back at the present time as they were earlier in the season but it can be no bad thing that Mo Salah finally got his mojo back last week. Chelsea have been ridiculed at times this season with the various goings on surrounding them but by hook or by crook they have won their last three in the Premier League and progressed nicely in Europe.
I like both teams to score in this match. It is not too far under evens but I don’t see Chelsea keeping Liverpool out but at the other end of the pitch they have a little magician who is in sensational form and this is the stage he performs to his best on. With the win important for both and a draw potentially doing neither any favours I’m hoping for an attacking game here in which both have the quality to find the net.
