The Asia Cup continues on Sunday when two more matches take place in the tournament and we have the second of a possible three meetings between India and Pakistan which is the undoubted highlight on the card. Afghanistan take on Bangladesh in the other match.
Things are getting important now with the two winners from the opening Super Fours matches taking each other on with the winner going through to the final while the two losers meet in a must win clash.

India vs Pakistan
The main match of the day is a repeat of the Champions Trophy final from last year which India suffered a surprise defeat against Pakistan. India have already gained some sort of revenge in this tournament when they won a dead rubber in the group phase.
This one should be much more keenly fought and all eyes will be on the Pakistan batsmen to see if they can deliver another good performance after a wonderful win over Afghanistan last time out. If they can then they should be tough to beat but India look to be getting better by the match so they will be no pushovers here.
We are apparently going to get more pace and bounce in this wicket which should in theory assist Pakistan’s seamers but I still expect the spinners to be the main port of call in the searing heat and India’s trio of spinners blow Pakistan’s options out of the water. With that in mind I’ll back India to ease to another win.

Afghanistan vs Bangladesh
It is do or die for both Afghanistan and Bangladesh in their final match. Should India win the other game then Afghanistan will be eliminated if they don’t win this. If Pakistan are victorious in the other game when it is Bangladesh who must win here.
Afghanistan have been a breath of fresh air in this tournament and although they were narrowly beaten by Pakistan it was only the experience and calm brilliance of Shoaib Malik that did for them. Even then they so nearly got home. Since thrashing Sri Lanka in their first match of the tournament Bangladesh have been extremely disappointing and need a dramatic improvement and fast.
Afghanistan know how this Abu Dhabi wicket will play by now and I expect them to win this match. Bangladesh look a little lost at the top of the order without Tamim and nobody has yet worked out how to play the high class spin trio Afghanistan have. They can bowl their side to another win.
