2018 Mzansi Super League – Sunday 25th November Matches Betting Preview

We have another double header in the Mzansi Super League on Sunday with two more matches in the competition as the league phase begins to head towards the halfway stage. The table is taking shape and that will only continue on Sunday.

Four good outfits are on show over the course of the day so we should be set for a really good day out in South Africa. Both matches are live on TV for those of us who are in the UK which should make the excitement easier to follow.

Tshwane Spartans vs Nelson Mandela Bay Giants

The opening match of the day sees the Tshwane Spartans taking on the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants in a pretty big match for both sides in the first game of the tournament from SuperSport Park in Centurion.

Tshwane Spartans go into the match with one win from three matches and they almost failed to defend more than 200 in that so they need a really convincing performance for peace of mind as much as anything. This is their first home game though so it is worth cutting them some slack. Nelson Mandela Bay Giants have two wins from their first three matches with their bowlers delivering the goods on a couple of occasions.

I’ve not been all that impressed with the Tshwane Spartans so far in this tournament and even on a good batting strip they look vulnerable to the decent Nelson Mandela Bay Giants and their bowling attack. I’m expecting more from the Bay Giants with the bat here so taking them makes sense.

Paarl Rocks vs Cape Town Blitz

The second match of the day sees the table toppers Cape Town Blitz heading to the bottom of the pile Paarl Rocks with both sides looking for a win. A win for Cape Town would have them well on course for a spot in the finals while anything but a win for Paarl and they will be playing catch up.

Cape Town have been done no favours by the scheduling here. They were playing less than 18hrs before the beginning of this match so they are going to have to recover and go again very quickly. Paarl have been relatively light on action so far in the tournament and can use that freshness to their advantage.

I always say about sides who have to back up the day after and the evidence is there for how they struggle for those who want to get confirmation of it. It isn’t like Cape Town have to win this either with the advantage they have in the table so they might rest a number of players for later in the piece. I’ll go with the Rocks in this one.
