The Mzansi Super League continues with a double header on Sunday with the four sides not involved in Saturday’s match competing in their penultimate fixtures of the regular season. The fates of the four have already been decided in terms of the postseason but matches are still to be won.
Two sides who have booked their spots in the knockout stages will be looking to build on their form when they take on two teams who will be ending their campaigns once their initial set of fixtures have been played out.
Jozi Stars vs Paarl Rocks
The Jozi Stars head into their match with the Paarl Rocks on Sunday knowing full well that whatever happens in it they are going to be in the postseason but they also know that if they win their final two games they could skip the first eliminator.
Since the South African stars have returned the Stars have lit up the competition. They have won their last four matches with big scores in three of them and when they do score big they generally win the match with the quality of their bowling attack. The Rocks have lost their last two matches with their form having deserted them at exactly the wrong time.
You would imagine that the Jozi Stars would win this but I’ve been burned betting on matches at The Wanderers and watching a side struggle to defend the ground before so I’m going to go for the sixes where I think over 12.5 will land. The first match on this ground was on a poor wicket but there have been 16 and 24 sixes in the two games since then. Both batting line ups have shown their class and I’m happy we’ll see 13 sixes here.
Reeza Hendricks is in such good form at the minute that I can’t resist a small bet on him to be the man of the match in this encounter. He has two tons a 79 and 55 in four of his last five matches in the tournament and few are hitting the ball as well as he is. Given that he opens the batting you would think if he top scores for the Stars he will make enough to be the man of the match so at 7/1 he’s worth of a small stake.

Cape Town Blitz vs Durban Heat
The Sunday double header concludes with a match between the best side in the tournament so far in Cape Town Blitz and the worst one in the Durban Heat. The Heat have just not got going in this tournament to date.
Even when the Durban Heat get themselves into a position to win, which they did in their last match, they still fail to get over the line and the time where they can be trusted went a long time ago. Cape Town Blitz generally find a way to win from most positions that they get themselves in and I expect another sizeable victory from them here. All of the odds reflect that however so I’ll sit this match out.
