The second day of the snooker season is upon us on Tuesday when another 34 players try and book their plane tickets to Latvia when they compete in their Riga Masters qualifying match over the course of the day.
Monday was an entertaining opening to the campaign and with some really big names on show across the four sessions on Tuesday we should be getting plenty more excellent snooker to enjoy.
Morning Session
As with on Monday there are five matches in the first session of the day with two of them on the live streams. David Gilbert is the highest ranked player on show and he is on one of the streamed tables. He takes on Farakh Ajaib while on the other main table Li Hang goes up against Duane Jones. On the outside tables Noppon Saengkham takes on Scott Donaldson while Robin Hull meets James Cahill. Craig Steadman faces Yuan Sijun.
Early Afternoon Session
Arguably the match of the day sees Gary Wilson playing Michael White on one of the streamed tables with Joe Perry meeting Lu Ning on the other one. Kurt Maflin will look to get his campaign off to a winning start in this session too. He plays Lu Haotian while the other match sees Paul Davison going up against Li Yuan.
Later Afternoon Session
Stephen Maguire is the main attraction in the later session in the afternoon. He will be on one of the streamed tables when he faces former professional Michael Judge while Robert Milkins will also be on show. He goes up against Jak Jones. Gerard Greene and Lee Walker also begin their seasons in this session when they meet Chen Feilong and Basem Eltahhan respectively on the outside tables.
Evening Session
Two huge stars are on show in the evening session when Neil Robertson and Stuart Bingham take to the green baize. They will both have their matches streamed with the Australian playing Luo Honghao and Bingham taking on Niu Zhuang. The two matches on the outside tables are fairly low key as Jordan Brown faces Joe O’Connor and Zhang Jiankang plays Luke Simmonds.

Betting
It was a quiet first day of betting on the tournament for me and it is going to be a largely quiet second one too with my only bet coming in the form of Gary Wilson who is a fair price to beat Michael White in the match of the day.
Wilson finished last season well enough with a decent run in the Welsh Open and I fancy he could really kick on this term. He is a former ranking event finalist so it isn’t as though he can’t play the game anyway. White is either brilliant or ordinary and it might take him a match or two to get going this term. I suspect this is a bigger match for Wilson than it is for White and so I’m going to back him accordingly.
Tips
Back G.Wilson to beat M.White for a 4/10 stake at 2.05 with BetVictor
