The Championship campaign continues on Sunday and it does so with a couple of matches where Wales and the west are in focus on what could well be a feisty day of football in the second tier, and an important one for those involved.
We have one of the two matches on TV for those of us in the UK and then there will be plenty of ways to follow the other match on what looks an interesting afternoon of action in the Championship.
Swansea City vs Cardiff City (12.00)
The big match of the afternoon comes from the Liberty Stadium where the first South Wales derby of the campaign takes place on what should be a match where little quarter is given between two sides who are eyeing up promotion this term.
Swansea made a wonderful start to the season but they have now won just one of their last seven matches while Cardiff have only lost one of their last 10 but they are finding wins harder to come by than they would like. This is sure to be a competitive match and it could turn into something of a stalemate. I wouldn’t like to call which way it will go in all honesty so I’m happy to sit this one out.
Bristol City vs Wigan Athetic (13.30)
The other match in the afternoon sees Bristol City going up against Wigan Athletic in a match between two sides whose attentions will be served at opposite ends of the table for much of the campaign you would feel.
Bristol City have only lost once since the opening day of the season which was at Luton last Saturday when the Hatters were exceptional on the day. Wigan have picked up a few wins in recent times but there is no getting away from the fact that their away form is absolutely rotten and has been ever since they got promoted. I don’t know whether it will be a comfortable home win or a tight one but I’ve got to back the hosts to have enough here at a perfectly acceptable price.
