2019 Vitality Blast – Friday 19th July Matches Betting Preview

It is the first what you would call full night of action in the Vitality Blast on Friday evening, with seven matches on the card throughout the day, as the competition continues to get up and running after an entertaining evening on Thursday.

The likes of AB de Villiers, Moeen Ali, Tom Banton and Ryan ten Doechate lit up the tournament on Thursday and a load more stars come out to play on Friday. We have one match on the TV and a bunch of them being shown on the county live streams.

North Group

There is a full fixture list in the North Group on Friday evening, with the defending champions Worcestershire back in action less than 24hrs after picking up their first win of the season. They play their rivals Birmingham Bears at New Road in the pick of the matches. Nicholas Pooran is set to make his Yorkshire debut when they host Nottinghamshire while the other two matches sees our outright pick Durham hosting former champions Northamptonshire, while Leicestershire welcome Lancashire to Grace Road.

New customers, bet £/€20 on the Exchange and if your first bet loses, we’ll refund you £/€20 in Cash. T&Cs apply. 18+|Gamble Aware.

South Group

There are just the three matches in the South Group on Friday but it is the section that the TV match comes from. That is the coastal clash between former winners Hampshire and Sussex at the Ageas Bowl where both sides get their campaigns for another title underway. The action actually begins much earlier than that when Gloucestershire face off against a Glamorgan side potentially still reeling from being wiped out by Somerset on Thursday evening. Essex were also well beat on Thursday and they will be looking to bounce back when they play host to Surrey.

Betting

Unfortunately the first full night of action in the tournament has got to battle the elements which a band of rain doing a tour of the UK and potentially impacting most, if not all, of the fixtures on the card. That is a bit of a pity as after the highs of the World Cup I was looking to get stuck right into this tournament from the start.

The good thing about this event is there are countless numbers of match days in it, and given that we are informed that the weather is set for a dramatic improvement over the next week or so and with plenty of matches to come in that time, rather than taking a chance on the forecast not being right and potentially paying the price, I’ll leave these games alone and wait for the sun to come out again.
