2020-21 CSA T20 Challenge – Wednesday 24th February Matches Tips and Betting Preview

The CSA T20 Challenge continues on Wednesday with another two matches on the day where the three teams who will progress through to the play-offs could be determined at Kingsmead in Durban as we head towards the closing stages of the league phase.

The top three are all in action on Wednesday on what looks like it could very well be the best day of the tournament so far. Both the matches are once again being shown live on Free Sports in the UK so there is no need to miss any of the action.

Titans vs Warriors (08.00)

The opening match of the day sees the Titans looking to make their progress to the play-offs complete when they go up against the Warriors, a side who with three defeats from their opening three matches have their hopes of going through hanging by a thread.

The Warriors know that their only hope of making it through now is to pick up a couple of bonus point victories and if they can do that and the Titans lose their last game the Warriors can do through. The Titans will make it into at least the semi-final with a win here and are pretty short priced to get it. They were beaten last time out though so they will need to bounce back from that. I took the Warriors on Tuesday and they got blown away. I expect them to lose here but I’m no backer of a 4/11 shot when they’ve just lost.

Dolphins vs Highveld Lions (12.30)

The second match of the day is once again the pick of the matches as the home side Dolphins go up against the defending champions Highveld Lions in what could be the match of the tournament and very much a dress rehearsal for the final next week.

Both these sides go into the match with undefeated records to protect but I think the Lions are the better team of the two. They have been cruising through their matches and while that isn’t always a good thing, I certainly don’t see them stopping anytime soon. They were the pick for the tournament before it began and that remains the case. There just appears to be no weakness in their ranks whereas there are one or two bowlers that you can get after in the Dolphins set up.

As long as David Miller doesn’t have a day out for the home side I don’t see them winning this one and with the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Beuran Hendricks, Dwaine Pretorius bowling at him the chances of him coming off are lower than usual. There are enough top level batsmen in the Lions ranks to get the job done here with the support of their bowling attack. Even at 8/11 the Lions feel like a fair bet to me here.
