The second weekend of the Premier League campaign kicks off on Saturday with four matches over the course of an extended day, one which sees the majority of sides playing their second match of the season but some just their first.
With fans still not able to get back in the stadiums all Premier League matches are live on TV in the UK which means they all kick off at a different time to each other, setting up a brilliant nine hour marathon of football.
Saturday’s matches are as follows:
Everton vs West Bromwich Albion (12.30 – BT Sport 1)
Leeds United vs Fulham (15.00 – BT Sport 1)
Manchester United vs Crystal Palace (17.30 – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)
Arsenal vs West Ham (20.00 – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)

Preview
The action begins up on Merseyside where Everton will look to build on their excellent showing at Tottenham last weekend when their new signings feature at Goodison Park for the first time. They host newly promoted West Brom who will be looking to start their season here after the disappointment of the defeat to Leicester City last week. The other two promoted sides from last season meet in the second game of the day when Leeds United look to build on their positive showing against Liverpool when they host a Fulham team who had an awful start against Arsenal.
Manchester United had their feet up and watched the action unfold last week but they get their season up and running on Saturday evening when they host a Crystal Palace side who had a good win against Southampton last week. The day concludes with a London derby as Arsenal look to continue their revival when they welcome a troubled West Ham United side to the Emirates Stadium in a tasty clash.
Betting
I’ll go with a couple of bets over the course of Saturday in the Premier League. The first of those comes at Elland Road where I’m very surprised that the goal line is as low as 2.5 based on what we saw last week. If Leeds United can take the game to a strong Liverpool defence and score three times against it you’ve got to think they’ll be finding the net against a Fulham team whose defence has been questionable for a while and hasn’t had the repair work done to it that it needs. On the other side of the ball Fulham like to get men forward, whether on the counter or through bouts of possession and Leeds are missing some key players at the back. Both meetings last season had three goals in them and I’d be surprised if this one doesn’t too.
The other bet I like is for Arsenal to see off West Ham United. There is a school of thought that West Ham might be more suited to being the away side but I don’t buy that really. There aren’t many teams who are going to go to the London Stadium these days and shut up shop. Yes their attack might get a bit more space but Arsenal aren’t the gung ho leave themselves exposed side they were before Mikel Arteta came in. For all of their better organisation though they haven’t lost much in the way of attacking mite and they look in a really nice groove at the minute having bagged a couple of pieces of silverware recently. I expect Arsenal to win this and if they get in front early they could run riot here.
