As has been the case since the Premier League season began the weekend begins with four matches on Saturday on a day where there is plenty of intrigue on a number of teams after the opening three rounds of fixtures.
Who knows what the future will bring in terms of matches being shown live but this weekend they are all live on TV in the UK which means there is no need to miss even a minute of the action on what should be another tremendous marathon of football.
Saturday’s fixtures are as follows: (UK kick off and TV in brackets)
Chelsea vs Crystal Palace (12.30 – BT Sport 1)
Everton vs Brighton & Hove Albion (15.00 – BT Sport 1)
Leeds United vs Manchester City (17.30 – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)

Preview
The action this weekend kicks off with another London derby as big spending Chelsea look to show that the outlay has been worth it when they host a Crystal Palace side who have also spent a few quid in the window but appear to have done it a lot more wisely. Chelsea will be hoping there isn’t a repeat of the howlers that cost them against West Brom last weekend. Everton have made a perfect start to the season and they will go up against a Brighton and Hove Albion side who are looking an improved side in the latest game at Goodison Park.
The real tantalising match of the four is the third one on the card as master meets apprentice when Marcelo Bielsa takes his Leeds United side into battle against Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City team in a clash which should be incredibly easy on the eye. The action concludes up at St James’ Park where Newcastle United will look to build on the point they stole from Tottenham Hotspur last week when they host a Burnley outfit still looking for their first point of the new campaign.
Betting
There is only one bet that I like on Saturday and it comes in the big match at Elland Road where the odds are actually shortening on under 3.5 goals which only makes me more interested in the overs. I would wager the under is getting backed because Manchester City have a few striker issues but that doesn’t mean they are not going to score goals with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and Kevin de Bruyne just some of the options they have against a team who aren’t going to take a backward step just because they are playing Man City.
The fact that Leeds United won’t sit back and defend opens up the likelihood that we are going to get back to their high scoring matches are a pretty dour affair against Sheffield United last week. You wouldn’t feel confident backing Man City to keep a clean sheet against anyone right now least of all a side who will get the number of men forward that Leeds will. In the five matches these two have played in the Premier League this season three of them have had seven goals in them and another had four. I expect this one to follow that trend so I’ll take the over here.
