2020-21 Premier League – Saturday 5th December Matches Tips, TV and Betting Preview

After a delayed start to the Premier League weekend after the Friday night match was called off, we have the usual four matches to enjoy on Saturday on a day where a number of title contenders are in action and looking to strengthen their claims.

We have fans at a Premier League match for the first time in nine months over the course of the day but for those who won’t be attending the games all four of them are live on TV for us in the UK so there is no need to miss a kick of the action.

Saturday’s fixtures are as follows: (UK kick off and TV in brackets)

Burnley vs Everton (12.30 – BT Sport 1)

Manchester City vs Fulham (15.00 – BT Sport 1)

West Ham United vs Manchester United (17.30 – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)

Chelsea vs Leeds United (20.00 – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)

Preview

The action begins in the north west where struggling Burnley will be looking to pick up something from a home game against Everton who have come off the top of their form with injuries beginning to hurt them quite badly. The second match of the day comes from the same area of the country as Manchester City will be looking to build on their emphatic win over Burnley last week when they take on a Fulham side who will be buoyed by their win over Leicester City on Monday night.

The remainder of the action comes from the capital on Saturday where supporters will be in attendance at both matches. The first of those comes from the London Stadium where West Ham United host Manchester United in a clash between sides who will be looking for successive victories after wins last weekend. The action finishes with two clubs who don’t like each other very much as Chelsea take on Leeds United in what could be a spicy clash.

Betting

There is just the one bet for me which comes in the third match of the day where West Ham United play host to Manchester United in a match where I’m expecting to see some goals. I mentioned last week how Manchester United matches away from Old Trafford have been high scoring and they continued that trend with a 3-2 win at Southampton to maintain their unbeaten record on their travels this term.

West Ham are going along nicely at the minute and while I think they have more ambition than to suggest this is a free hit for them, they will be buoyed by having fans back and will be looking to put on a show here. Their matches are rarely that low scoring and when they are it is only because of a host of missed chances. You wouldn’t say either of these teams are particularly tight at the back so I like the idea of there being more than 2.5 goals in this one.
