Three rearranged matches take place in the Sky Bet Championship on Tuesday when six sides go in search of three points which will be vital in the relevant quest of a number of the teams should they be the one to pick them up.
We are in the home straight of the second tier campaign now so with that in mind it is disappointing that none of these games have been picked up for live TV coverage, but they are all available via the club streaming services.
Tuesday’s fixtures are as follows:
Huddersfield Town vs AFC Bournemouth (17.30)
Sheffield Wednesday vs Swansea City (18.00)
Rotherham United vs QPR (19.00)

Preview
The three matches on show on Tuesday evening all have implications on the battle to avoid the drop but a couple of them will also impact the race for promotion as well. The biggest match of the evening in that regard is the one at Hillsborough where Sheffield Wednesday will go in search of a much needed win when they host a Swansea City side who are probably well aware that they need to win out if they are going to have a chance of automatic promotion.
The other two matches will also be key. Huddersfield Town are not yet safe but they will hope to ease their fears when they host an AFC Bournemouth side who have crept into the top six again and can move up to fifth with a win here. The other match sees Rotherham United going up against the only team in action on the evening who have nothing to play for in the form of Queens Park Rangers, who can’t go up or down.
Betting
It is that latter game that I like from a betting point of view as Rotherham United take on Queens Park Rangers in a match where I’m expecting to see goals. QPR games have suddenly caught fire with four of their last five outings having contained more than 2.5 goals and while Rotherham have failed to score in their last three, they were so unlucky on numerous occasions against Huddersfield at the weekend which makes me think their goals aren’t far away.
Rotherham are in the situation now where they have to go for it. They find themselves six points adrift of Coventry who they face on Thursday night so a win here will be massive for their chances. QPR aren’t playing for anything now which is probably why their games have been full of goals in recent times. They have plenty of quality in forward areas but this is the second season in a row they have leaked more than they would have wanted under Mark Warburton. I like over 2.5 goals here.
