The two televised matches on Tuesday evening are the last two to kick off when Blackburn Rovers will look to make up for a couple of disappointing results when they host a Middlesbrough side who remain hard to beat under Neil Warnock. The other match comes from down in Wales where Cardiff City will look to end their recent slump in form when they host a Barnsley outfit who are going along quite nicely now after a fairly slow start to the season.
The highest team in action on Tuesday evening are Swansea City and they make the trip to London to take on a Brentford team who are beginning to crank up some decent form as they loom large on the top six. Norwich City have seen their fine recent form move them up to fourth ahead of these matches and they welcome Millwall to Carrow Road, while in the other two matches Huddersfield Town host Bristol City and bottom of the pile Sheffield Wednesday look to end their winless spell at home when they host AFC Bournemouth.
Betting
While there is a sense that Bournemouth draw too many for comfort at the minute, they should be pretty confident about getting the job done when they make the trip to Hillsborough to take on a Sheffield Wednesday side who still haven’t won at home on their own turf this season. I saw them against Luton a couple of weeks ago and they looked terrible and in the two matches they have played since they have lost to two promoted sides from last term and not scored a goal.
Bournemouth are still unbeaten this season but they have drawn five of their nine matches and need to start to find ways to win games more comfortably moving forward. The positive for them here is that they have a big enough squad to make changes without weakening things whereas Garry Monk must be wondering what he can do to arrest this Wednesday slump. If Bournemouth want to get promoted from the Championship this term these are matches they should be winning and at a shade under evens I’ll take them to do exactly that.
