The second round of matches in the UEFA Nations League get up and running on Sunday when all four leagues are in operation on a day of football which carries plenty of intrigue as the teams who featured on Thursday night are back in battle here.
Of the Home Nations we have Wales on show while the Republic of Ireland also continue their campaign. It is also a night when some of the heavy hitters of European football battle it out for group points.
League A
Two former world champions are back on show for our entertainment on Sunday evening with Spain being the first of them. They are at home to a Ukraine side who got their campaign off to a fine start on Thursday night when they took care of Switzerland. The aforementioned Switzerland will be hoping to make up for that when they host the other former world champions in the form of Germany in what is already a big match for the Swiss outfit.
League B
This is where Wales continue their campaign when they embark on their first home match of the competition in what is the first game of the day to kick off. Ryan Giggs’ men will host Bulgaria at the Cardiff City Stadium looking to back up their win over Finland to start Group 4 on Thursday night. In the other Group 4 match the Republic of Ireland are on home soil when they take on that same Finland side in Dublin. Group 3 is the other section in action on Sunday with Hungary hosting Russia in the earlier of the two kick offs before a tasty looking encounter between Serbia and Turkey in Belgrade.

League C
There are just the two matches from League C on Sunday and they both come in a very competitive looking Group 3 where both matches in the first round of games were drawn, which means there is all to play for here. The first game of the two to be played sees Slovenia going up against Moldova and then once that is done it will be the turn of Kosovo and Greece to battle it out in a big match for both sides even this early in the piece.
League D
There are also a couple of matches in the bottom league of the four on Sunday as well as four minnows look to get stuck into some competitive action. The Faroe Islands began their competition with a good win against Malta on Thursday night and they have an early kick off in Andorra to look to back that victory up. In the evening Malta will look to get their first points on the board for the season when they host a Latvia side who are really struggling quite badly right now.
Betting
I’ll go with the one bet on Sunday where I expect to see a bit of a gulf between Wales and Bulgaria. Bulgaria got a draw against Ireland on Thursday but Ireland had almost 60% of the ball which is almost unheard of for the Irish and if Wales have that much of the ball here you would expect them to punish Bulgaria. Bulgaria have won just one of their last 15 matches and that goal against Ireland was just their third in their last eight outings.
Wales are a much improved side the longer the Ryan Giggs spell has gone on and they have now won their last three matches, all without conceding and in truth looking fairly comfortable in all of them. Although they are missing some players in Gareth Bale they have the class act on the pitch but there are some good young Welsh players that Giggs has given experience to who are starting to shine. I expect them to have too much for an ordinary Bulgaria outfit.
