The Royal London One Day Cup is back in action on Sunday and it is quite a busy day in the competition, assuming the weather plays ball, as seven matches take place up and down the country as we reach and move beyond the halfway mark of the group stage.
You know the drill by now. The Hundred has got the TV attention on Sunday which means that if you’d prefer to watch these matches or follow them with a bet on then it is the excellent county streams you’ll need to head towards to do that.
Group A
The top two are not in action in what is a pretty congested Group A on Sunday which means that Somerset have the chance to move clear at the summit if they can get the better of Yorkshire. Nottinghamshire have the chance to join the teams on five points when they host local rivals Leicestershire while the two winless teams meet in the other match as Northamptonshire welcome Derbyshire to Wantage Road, with the visitors probably already out now. The hosts can get themselves right back in the mix with a win here.

Group B
Worcestershire begin the day on top of the Group B table and they can extend their knockout stage hopes when they play host to a Middlesex side who are without a win and sit bottom of the table. Lancashire are the other undefeated side in the group and they put that record on the line at the Ageas Bowl when they meet Hampshire. The other match in this group is a mid-table clash between Sussex and Gloucestershire where the winners could well revive their campaign and spring themselves into the qualifying mix.
Betting
I’m going to keep my betting to a minimum on Sunday because we have to dodge a bit of rain which isn’t ideal and I was at a match on Friday where a side nearly ended up chasing a nothing score because of the timing of the rain and I don’t want to fall foul of that happening. There are a few matches which might go untroubled by the rain, one of which is Nottinghamshire against Leicestershire at Welbeck where I think we might see a few runs.
To be fair, that wasn’t really the case in the 20 or so overs we saw here on Friday when Nottinghamshire were only just more than 90 runs to the good but this is essentially a club ground and professionals should be scoring much quicker than that here. What will help that is the Leicestershire bowling attack which can be quite leaky as we saw at Edgbaston on Thursday. They have a solid top order though do the Foxes which will help the runs flow. Nottinghamshire are missing the majority of their bowling attack but The Hundred has left a few batsmen behind which is what makes me think we’re in for a high scoring game here. Nottinghamshire have posted 323 and 266/7 in 30 overs in their matches so far while Leicestershire have made 279/4, 327/7 in a losing cause and 296/9 in another losing effort. I think it all points to there being more than 531.5 runs.
