Once the London game concludes the attention of the NFL will switch back across the pond as the remainder of the Sunday matches in week eight of the season will take place up and down America, with a few tasty looking battles among them.
A number of sides are in for big matches in terms of their seasons with a lot of 3-4 or 4-3 teams in action which should make for an important and exciting Sunday across the league. We get to see two of these matches on TV in the UK too.
1pm Kick Offs (5pm UK time)
The TV game for those of us who are in the UK in this set of matches is the one which sees two sides with winning records in action as the Baltimore Ravens head to take on the Carolina Panthers but elsewhere there are a trio of big divisional battles. The biggest one of them is probably the one at Heinz Field where the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns go at it again after their tie earlier in the season. Kansas City Chiefs play host to the Denver Broncos in the AFC West while over in the NFC East the Washington Redskins travel to the New York Giants.
There are three other matches on show which see the Chicago Bears looking to build on their 3-3 start when they face the New York Jets while Cincinnati Bengals welcome the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Two sides who carry 3-3 records into the week meet in Detroit as the Detroit Lions take on the Seattle Seahawks.
4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (8.05/8.25pm UK time)
The Los Angeles Rams put their undefeated record on the line in the big match of the second starts when they take on the Green Bay Packers in the game which is on our TV screens in the UK. There is an NFC West clash between the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers in one of the other matches on show with the final match seeing the Oakland Raiders taking on the Indianapolis Colts in what is must win for both teams.

Betting
There are a couple of bets that I like over the course of these matches. In the first set of them I think the point total might be a little high when the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Cleveland Browns. Matches in the AFC North tend to be tighter and lower scoring affairs and I expect this one to follow suit. I think the Steelers will be out to do a bit of a job on the Browns and while Baker Mayfield is an upgrade on anything Cleveland have had at quarterback in a while a trip to Pittsburgh is a decent test. Both sides have defences that can make plays and under 48pts feels the right way to play this one.
Oakland Raiders made it pretty clear when they drafted Amari Cooper away that they are looking towards the future rather than the present and that makes me think that the Indianapolis Colts can cover a field goal on the road. I don’t think the Colts are much cop but they have a few players who can make big plays on offense and a few of them should be enough to get the job done. Oakland can’t protect the quarterback and he’s got nothing to throw to now anyway so this is a must win match for the Colts to keep their season alive. I’ll back them to do it.
