The group stage of the UEFA Nations League draws to a close on Tuesday evening when the remaining matches take place across the continent with many promotion and relegation spots still to be determined.
We now know the four teams through to the finals in Portugal next year but play-off spots in the Euro2020 qualifiers are still at stake while sides will also be playing to avoid the ignominy of being relegated too.
Group A
The last match in Group A is something of a dead rubber as the hosts for the latter stages of the competition, Portugal, host Poland in a match where Portugal know they are through to the semi-finals while Poland know that whatever happens here they will be relegated into Group B which is probably their true ranking.
Group B
It is another one of those winner takes all matches in the sole match in Group B on Tuesday night when Sweden play host to Russia. A Sweden win will see them promoted to Group A and secure their play-off spot for Euro2020 qualifying should they need it. Any other result will see Russia continue their good year with a promotion of their own.
Group C
The same situation applies in the big match in Group C. Scotland will be promoted if they can see off Israel at Hampden Park but they know they have to win or else it will be Israel claiming the promotion place and the second chance play-off spot courtesy of winning the group. The other matches come in C4 where Serbia will secure promotion if they can beat Lithuania at home but if they slip up then Romania can secure top spot if they win in Montenegro.
Group D
Kosovo can complete their promotion on Tuesday night when they play host to Azerbaijian. They only need to draw the game to go into Group C and take the play-off spot but if Azerbaijan can win it will be them who take the glory and all that comes with it. In the other match Malta play host to the Faroe Islands in the battle to avoid finishing bottom.

Betting
As we’ve seen on the last two nights when these promotion spots are up for grabs the matches open right up and we see goals as a result. We saw three at Wembley on Sunday, seven win Switzerland and four in Germany not to mention a couple of other high scoring matches along the way. I expect no different when Scotland take on Israel on Tuesday evening. The first goal in this match will be huge and the team who concedes it will have to come out and open up. I’m not sure either side are good enough to leave themselves exposed at the back and cope. That obvious bet here is over 2.25 goals.
Kosovo have had a wonderful group campaign so far and their extra quality in attacking areas can see them past an Azerbaijan side who are going to have to take risks and potentially leave themselves exposed at the back. Kosovo eased past Malta on Saturday so they should have plenty left in the legs here. They might only need a draw but I expect them to win the game.
