The latest round of matches in the Super League concludes on Sunday when the last three games are played out with a couple of teams playing in front of their own fans for the first time in more than 12 months.
Just as with the three games on Saturday, we have one match televised on Sunday with the other two games being available to be viewed via the Our League service. The various social media feeds is another way to keep up with all the action.
Leigh Centurions vs Huddersfield Giants (15.00)
One of the two matches away from the TV cameras comes from the Leigh Sports Village as the Leigh Centurions go in search of that elusive win back at Super League level when they play host to the Huddersfield Giants who will be buoyed by their win over the Warrington Wolves last week.
Leigh were competitive against Wigan last week but still couldn’t come up with the victory and now their task is to maintain that performance as they go searching for that win. Huddersfield were very impressive in beating Warrington last week and that is the standard Ian Watson will want his troops to show from here on in. You get the impression that as key players return and get up to speed and the group learns the style that Watson wants them to play with, that the Giants will get stronger and stronger from here on in. I’m not yet in a position where I trust them to cover a couple of scores though so I’ll sit this one out.

Wakefield Trinity vs Hull KR (15.00)
It is a big afternoon for all concerned at Wakefield Trinity as they get to play in front of supporters for the first time in more than a year and it happens to be their own fans they will entertain when they host Hull KR at Belle Vue.
Things haven’t been going great for Trinity on the field and they are still looking for their first win of the season, although they took Leeds Rhinos to extra time last week in what was their best performance of the campaign to date, and was a match they really should have won. That will encourage them especially as they get a couple of key players back for this one in Bill Tupou and Jacob Miller. They host a Hull KR side who won at Castleford Tigers last week but that result doesn’t look quite as good after the Saturday games. KR are probably worthy favourites if for no other reason than they have won matches this term and aren’t playing with as much pressure on them to get off the mark but I sense a Wakefield win might not be far away so I’m happy to sit this one out.
Leeds Rhinos vs Hull FC (19.30 – Sky Sports Arena)
The televised action comes in the final match of the weekend where the Leeds Rhinos get to entertain their supporters for the first time since the pandemic struck when they play host to a Hull FC side who will be looking to ruin the party.
The Rhinos go into this match off the back of a golden point win over Wakefield last week but they are likely to need a lot more than that to overcome Hull FC here. Leeds will be boosted by the return of the likes of Ritchie Myler and Zane Tetevano but I’m still not convinced that will be enough here. Hull FC went down to Catalans Dragons on Monday night but that doesn’t look a bad result at all now after what the Dragons did to St Helens on Saturday. Importantly, FC have the likes of Jake Connor back in place and you sense they will raise their game here.
These two sides are at opposite ends of their performance scales at the minute. Leeds are nowhere near where they could and most likely will be when everyone is fit whereas Hull FC are a pretty strong outfit even allowing for the loss to Catalans on Monday night. I think the visitors can wear down the hosts and come the end they have enough at both ends of the pitch to have won this by more than four points.
