The midweek action in the Sky Bet Championship this week concludes on Wednesday evening when the remaining six matches take place across the country on a night where plenty more teams will look for three meaningful points.

The TV cameras make their way from Deepdale to Carrow Road on Wednesday night as two sides with promotion aspirations this term meet when fourth placed Norwich City host third placed Leicester City with a spot in the top three at the end of the night up for grabs for the winner. The only other team in the top six in action on Wednesday evening are Hull City. They play host to a Leeds United side who might just be getting their act together after an indifferent start to the season.
Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland find themselves inside the top 10 going into the night and they go up against each other at Ewood Park while Millwall and Rotherham United will look to pull away from the bottom end of the table when they meet at The New Den. It will be something of an emotional night at the John Smith’s Stadium where Neil Warnock takes charge of Huddersfield Town for the final time when Stoke City are the visitors. The other match is the Valerien Ismael derby as his current side Watford host his former team West Bromwich Albion.
Betting
We saw some surprise results on Tuesday night and I wouldn’t be shocked to see more on Wednesday. I hope that is the case because it is an outsider that I like on Wednesday evening. I’m a little surprised that Huddersfield Town are the outsiders to beat Stoke City anyway when you consider they picked up consecutive wins either side of the international break but in what will be the final game in charge for Neil Warnock, I’m sure the Terriers will be dying to send him off with a win.
Stoke City might be perfect dance partners to get it against too. Stoke looked like this was going to be the beginning of the new dawn when they walloped Rotherham United on the opening day but that looks like a false dawn with them losing four of their next five without scoring in any of those defeats. Huddersfield have lost three of their six matches this season but they were away to Plymouth in their first game back in the Championship and at home to Leicester and Norwich who look top sides. Stoke don’t and with all the motivation that Huddersfield need I think they are great value on the draw no bet line.
