The Sky Bet Championship weekend concludes with a double header of action on Sunday afternoon when four sides who would like to see themselves as promotion challengers are all on show looking for three more points in the second tier.
All four teams begin the day in the top half of the table and will be looking to make progress as we head towards the busy Christmas period and the halfway point in the campaign. One of the two matches is live on TV but the other should get updates throughout the coverage.
Watford vs West Bromwich Albion (14.00)
Two sides who sit immediately below the play-off line in the Sky Bet Championship open up the action on Sunday afternoon when Watford take on West Bromwich Albion in a match which could tell us plenty about the potential of both teams.
I think the first thing you would have to acknowledge is there is a significant chance of the draw being in play here. West Brom have drawn 11 of their 20 matches this term and although Watford have only come out with four draws so far this term, three of them have come in their last four outings. West Brom are a side who struggle to get on top of teams but are very hard to beat and there isn’t a great deal in this Watford side that is going to expose them. I certainly wouldn’t want the draw off side here but I don’t really like backing the stalemate in this division because it is the least predictable league that there is.

Norwich City vs Burnley (15.00 – Sky Sports Football)
The TV cameras will make their way to Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon as Norwich City look to get back to winning ways when they play host to serious promotion challengers Burnley who themselves could do with a convincing display.
Burnley are going along fine in terms of their league position but every now and then they flatter to deceive, as they did in midweek in a 0-0 draw with Derby County, and have a chance here to impress. Their form on their travels is unconvincing I think it is fair to say and it will be interesting to see what they have here. Norwich are an interesting case. They have been in and around the top six for most of the campaign but have just fallen away from that spot recently. On the face of it, only Leeds have scored more goals than Norwich so when I went to Carrow Road a couple of weeks ago I was expecting to see a really good side who cut my own team open at will but that didn’t happen at all. In fact, they were largely contained and had Luton not made four monumental errors that all led to goals, Norwich didn’t really look like scoring and haven’t scored in their two games since then. I don’t see Burnley exposing themselves in the way that Luton did but at the same time this isn’t a free scoring Burnley side. They clearly lack a potent striker as we saw in midweek but the full return to fitness of Lyle Foster in the not too distant future should sort that out. Burnley are solid if unspectacular but that is generally what gets the job done in this division and if there is a winner here I think it will be the Clarets but I certainly wouldn’t want to have the draw against me. I’ll take Burnley on the draw no bet Asian line.
