There is one match in the Caribbean Premier League on Wednesday night with the tournament remaining in Trinidad for its latest fixture. It sees the Trinbago Knight Riders taking on the Jamaica Tallawahs in one of the eye catching clashes.
Both sides go into this match off the back of wins in their last fixtures so they should have the confidence needed to challenge the other here. A win for Trinbago would give them a very satisfying lead at the top of the table while Jamaica will join them there if they can win this.
Trinbago Knight Riders
I guess we will find out a lot more about the Knight Riders in this match. They have totally dominated the St Lucia Stars in back to back matches and if they can do the same to Jamaica then we know they are very much title contenders as they are projected to be. At the minute it could just be that they have beaten little.
One thing which makes them a tough nut to crack is their bowling attack. There appears to be no release among it which is why their opposition have struggled so much so far in the tournament. They also have a deep batting line up although not much of it has had to be used in the competition yet.
Jamaica Tallawahs
It has been an up and down start to the title defence for the Jamaica Tallawahs. They were well beaten in the first match of their double header with the Barbados Tridents but they were just as easy winners in the second game and they should be able to take plenty of confidence from that.
This Jamaica side may lack the power of previous ones with the bat but it doesn’t lack for guile, class and experience but there is no doubting their strength is with the ball where they look very strong with plenty of good home options and a plethora of spinners should the wickets wear early in this competition.
Team News
Once again there is no need for the Trinbago Knight Riders to make any changes to their side unless they have picked up an unnamed illness or injury.
The same probably applies to the Jamaica Tallawahs. There were question marks over Mohammad Sami after the first match but he answered them emphatically with his wonderful spell in their second game.

Betting
This should be a really good match because these two are two of the best bowling attacks in the competition so there should be a really good battle between bat and ball which is generally when cricket is at its best.
I’ve got to think ball will dominate the bat here. Neither of these attacks give you any room to go on the offensive and we’ve seen this Queens Park Oval wicket play a bit sluggishly this season so the total runs in the match are likely to remain below 285.5.
