CSA T20 Challenge 2022 – Sunday 13th February Matches Tips and Betting Preview

The CSA T20 Challenge continues on Sunday with the four teams who didn’t play on Saturday doing so as we round off the third matches for each side in the competition, on a day which could give us an indication about who could make the semi-finals at the end of the campaign.

We have the top two going into this round of matches in action against a couple of the sides who are lower down the rankings after the first two games. Once again both the matches are live on Free Sports for us to enjoy in the UK.

Lions vs Western Province (08.00)

The opening match of the day sees two of the better sides in the competition battling it out when the Lions go up against the second placed side in the tournament in the Western Province, who will be looking to preserve their undefeated start to the event.

Western Province have looked very good in the tournament to date beating the Boland Rocks and the Warriors. You would have to say that the form of neither of those wins have been backed up and that might get the Lions supporters smiling. They were beaten by the North West Dragons in their opening game but bounced back to see off the Dolphins last time out and we saw the Dolphins wallop the Warriors on Saturday so that form has definitely been franked. Even allowing for that, I don’t really want to take on the Western Province here but I do expect this one to be a high scoring affair. These two batting units look very good and I’m not totally hung up on either bowling attack so over 293.5 runs appeals to me here. These two have both scored more than 150 in the competition so far and if they do that again here we’ll be fine.

Boland Rocks vs North West Dragons (12.30)

The second match of the day sees the winless Boland Rocks looking to get up and running for the season and remain relevant in it when they go up against the undefeated and table topping North West Dragons in a big game for both sides.

The Dragons have the chance to make life very comfortable for themselves over the next week or so whereas a defeat for the Rocks here would leave them chasing and probably needing to go in search of bonus point wins in order to be able to remain in the hunt for a semi-final position. Although they have lost their opening two matches there is plenty of danger in this Rocks side and I’ve mentioned before that I’m still not convinced by the depth of the Dragons with the bat with Dwaine Pretorious coming in at three. I wouldn’t be surprised if Boland win this one but the odds are about right so I’ll sit this one out.
