CSA T20 Challenge – Friday 25th November Matches Betting Preview

There is a full round of matches in the CSA T20 Challenge on Friday with the six franchises all looking to better or consolidate their positions in the table which is about to reach the halfway stage.

With two more matches to come on Sunday this is a big weekend for those four sides who have two quick fire games. They can either open their tournament right up with a pair of wins or pretty much shut it down with back to back defeats.

We have one TV match on Friday which we’ll begin the preview with and then we’ll cover the earlier start and then the other match which I’m surprised isn’t the live game.

Warriors vs Highveld Lions

Two of the lesser lights of the competition meet in front of the cameras in a match which is huge for both sides. I say lesser lights but that is harsh on the side of the Warriors because they are going quite well with two wins from three matches but they are still very much surprise packages.

Highveld Lions haven’t really got going in this tournament yet and their only win from their three matches was a heavily rain affected one and even then they only just got over the line so they are going to need to seriously up their game to come through this.

I would expect the Warriors to win this match but I don’t like how they rely on a couple of key men with the bat and were they to fail there could be issues. If we were getting nearer evens on them then I would pull the trigger but given how short they look I can avoid that.

Knights vs Dolphins

The early start sees two sides who need a win doing battle when the Knights host the Dolphins in Port Elizabeth. The Dolphins go into the match in third place but they have played an extra game and are only in that position because of their washout in midweek.

The Knights started the tournament really well with a win over the Cape Cobras and were only narrowly beaten by the runaway leaders the Titans before a disappointing defeat to the Warriors. David Miller missed that match but he is back in the ranks for this one and I like the balance of the side with his inclusion.

I mentioned in midweek how I can’t be fancying the Dolphins until Kevin Pietersen joins up with them again. Even though he didn’t offer too much on his fleeting appearance last weekend their plans would have accounted for him when they signed him so I think he’ll be key so I’m against the Dolphins and at the prices I’ll take the home side here.

Titans vs Cape Cobras

Arguably the two best sides in the country meet in the match I expected to be the televised game. Sadly it isn’t because it means we have a shortage of markets to go after and with the match odds looking about right there isn’t really anywhere to go with a bet in this match.

If the Cobras had played and won in midweek to build some momentum you could have made a case for them but it is hard to go against the Titans here. I won’t do that. Instead I’ll sit this one out.
