CSA T20 Challenge – Sunday 20th November Matches Betting Preview

All six sides are back in action in the CSA T20 Challenge on Sunday with three more matches in the South African domestic T20 competition. Two of the matches are a double header, both of which are televised and then there is one other which is away from the TV cameras, in the UK at least.

We’ll go through the preview in time order with the televised double header from Bloemfontein first up.

Titans vs Dolphins

The Titans are the early pacesetters in the table with three wins from three matche. This includes a nail-biting win over the Knights last time out in a match they looked dead and buried in. The Dolphins have a win and a draw and would like to build on that here.

It would take a brave man to take on the Titans with the form they are showing at the minute. I’m not that but there is a bet I do like in this match. It comes in the sixes market where an 11.5 line is very much on the high side.

This is a pretty low scoring ground historically in this tournament. Both of these sides have decent enough bowling attacks to restrict the scoring and to take wickets. Sixes totals tend to be in single figures on this ground. While both teams are going well I think this will be more competitive than just an all-out six blitz.

Knights vs Warriors

Although they lost on Friday, the Knights should be able to take a lot from their defeat to the Titans. Although when David Miller is scoring 120 and they still don’t win you wonder how they are going to win. That said they take on a Warriors side here who don’t look completely convincing.

In truth I need to see a bit more of the Warriors before I can just them with complete confidence. So I’m not going to bet on this match. I was tempted to take the unders on sixes. However, when David Miller is around and in the form he showed on Friday no line is safe and stats tend to go out of the window. With that in mind I’ll sit this one out.

Highveld Lions vs Cape Cobras

I said going into the tournament I thought the Lions would struggle this season. That has certainly been the case so far with two pretty convincing defeats from their opening two matches. Cape Cobras started the tournament slowly. Getting Wayne Parnell back for the last match had an immediate impact and I fancy the visitors can build on that here.

The Lions are struggling with the bat having not yet put up 160 in their two matches. They have also shipped scores of 194 and 193 when in the field and they are not a good combination. The Cobras are the sort of side who are consistent in all facets of the game and even at 8/11 there is enough in their price that they win this.
