India vs Australia – 3rd T20 Betting Preview

Australia conclude their tour of India on Friday when the two sides meet in the third and final T20 match with the series on the line. India took the first game on Saturday while Australia levelled up on Tuesday so it is winner takes all in Hyderabad on Friday.

Both sides will want to win the match for ranking purposes as well as confidence moving forward so hopefully we are going to get a competitive match here after two very one-sided contests thus far.

India

After dominating the opening match of the series, India were very ordinary indeed in the second game. They lost two wickets in the first over and they never really looked like getting back into it from there. They offered something early on with the ball but they never once had enough runs to remain on top.

It will be interesting to see how India bat in this match. It would be stretching the boundaries of truth to suggest their middle order is functioning well at the minute but most of them will know the characteristics of this ground as it is often used in the IPL. You still feel if India are too win their bowlers will need to go well.

Australia

Given the pastings they have taken on this tour full credit must be given to Australia for showing the resolve to bounce back and level the series last time out. I said going into that match that their best chance, and potentially their only chance, of winning was to chase and they were fortunate enough to do just that.

Whether they can win if they bat first remains to be seen but the one thing the tourists have in their favour is that this ground often offers plenty for the seam bowlers. Sunrisers often get the ball to swing on this ground which is likely to bring Jason Behrendorff bang into play. If he bowls well Australia have every chance.

Betting

Both sides have shown far too many frailties for comfort in this match so I couldn’t back either with any confidence. Once again I think I would rather wait until we’ve seen the toss and then back the side who are lucky enough to be chasing.

This hasn’t been the tour that Dave Warner would have wanted but he can finish in style on his IPL home ground. He will know everything about this wicket and generally scores very well on it. As captain he will field in the key places too so I’m expecting him to cover a low looking performance line of 32.5pts. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he covers this with the bat but a catch or two will do him no harm. I’ll go overs for that.

Tips

VOID – Back D.Warner’s Performance – Over 32.5pts for a 4/10 stake at 1.83 with Bet365
