Two of the better teams in the Major League Cricket season meet in the one match in the competition on Friday night when the Texas Super Kings go up against the Washington Freedom in the latest match in Dallas.
The Super Kings begin the night in third place in the table while the Freedom are top of the pile and are yet to be beaten in the competition this season so this one promises to be a decent game of cricket for us to enjoy.
Texas Super Kings
The Texas Super Kings haven’t quite secured a place in the finals yet but a win here will sew it up and they would have another game to potentially challenge for a spot in the top two which would give them a couple of goes at getting into the main final, which is something every team would want in this competition in particular because conditions could be quite testing next week by the time the important stage of the event comes around.
When the Texas Super Kings dropped their opening match of the competition they could easily have fallen into a bit of a heap but the rain might just have come in the nick of time in the second game against the Freedom and since then they have won the only two matches that they have competed in. Their batting looks in decent order and having only had one match in 10 days, their bowling should be nice and refreshed to deliver the goods.
Washington Freedom
It has been a near flawless campaign for the Washington Freedom so far, so much so that if they come out on top with a win here they will ensure that they finish in the top two in the table and still have a match to spare to get some game time into those who might need it or some form into those who haven’t had as much time in the middle as some of the others in the team. They would be able to manage things nicely ahead of the finals.
The Freedom have had the best bowling attack in the competition so far. It might be that one of the reasons why the bowling attack is so good is because their batters are bashing everything out of the park and so teams are thinking that they need huge scores to contain that storm that comes there way so they take risks which the Washington bowlers take advantage of. It might also be that they have excellent bowlers in decent form.

Key Players
Faf du Plessis has been one of the best players in the competition so far and if the Super Kings do need to fight fire with fire then it might be the captain of the ship that is best placed to do it. If he has a big innings in him Texas have a chance.
Travis Head is beginning to bubble along nicely in this tournament and if he gets up and running in his batting innings then he could quickly have the Washington Freedom on the way to yet another successful outing.
Betting
These are two powerful batting units and we saw that in the first game between the pair where the Texas Super Kings had over 200 on the board and were under the cosh when the rain arrived so there is every reason to think that a 13.5 sixes line is not high enough here. That first game was in Morrisville where we had 12 sixes when the rain came in the fourth over of the second innings so here in Dallas where the boundaries are shorter and the pitches generally better another two sixes shouldn’t be beyond these sides.
When you look at the batters on show in this match with the likes of Faf du Plessis, Aaron Hardie, Marcus Stonis, Dwayne Bravo, Travis Head, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Andres Gous and Rachin Ravindra there is more than enough hitting power for the sixes to flow here. There isn’t really a top class spinner around either which is important and there is a good mix of left and right handers so short boundaries can always be targeted. I like over 13.5 sixes here.
