The Metro Bank One Day Cup continues with a couple of matches on Wednesday and as we hit the business end of the group stages both games carry plenty of significance with spots in the knockout phase on the line.
We are once again having to resort to the county live streams to follow any bets that we have on these two matches because The Hundred continues to get the attention when it comes to the TV coverage.
Northamptonshire vs Worcestershire (11.00)
The pick of the two matches on Wednesday comes from Wantage Road where second placed Northamptonshire will look to remain on track for at least a quarter final spot if not more when they host the team in fourth in the shape of Worcestershire.
Northamptonshire lost their opening match in this competition but they have won the three since then with relative ease. It could be said that they needed the match for the likes of Prithvi Shaw and a few others to get up to speed but they look like a very good side right now. Worcestershire have three wins and two defeats on their ledger and they probably run out of wiggle room in terms of making the latter stages of the competition. I thought Worcestershire were a good side before a ball was hit in this tournament and I haven’t changed my mind but Northants are playing some great cricket too. This one is tricky to call but as I’m on Worcestershire outright I’ll side with them for some interest but this is a no bet match for me.

Glamorgan vs Gloucestershire (11.00)
The other match sees fifth hosting third in a clash in Group B where the winners will finish the day inside the top three with just two group matches left as Glanorgan welcome Gloucestershire down in Cardiff.
Gloucestershire have three wins from their five matches while Glamorgan have two with a washout but the Welsh side have generally gotten better the longer this competition has gone on, which is understandable when you consider that they rested players in the opening matches. Glamorgan are at full strength now though and possess a fearsome top five and a bowling unit which is used to playing big white ball matches. Gloucestershire are a much younger side, especially with the ball and although they have three wins in the competition so far they have been a poor Derbyshire side, a Northants team finding its feet and a Somerset outfit who have no bowlers. They have a lot more to prove, especially against a strong Glamorgan batting unit and I think the home side will have too much here.
